Max Ronte asked if I wanted an obligatory photo for LinkedIn… and I didn’t refuse 🙂↔️ This week, we were invited to spend 2 days at Amazon’s London headquarters for a deep dive into Amazon Web Services (AWS)’s GenAI offerings. Some highlights: 🛠️ To start with - compared to other AI players, it’s clear that AWS’s focus is on enabling enterprises to embed GenAI capabilities via tools & platform offerings, rather than competing directly on developing foundational AI models 👩🏻💻 But it’s not just for enterprise - I built 3 (and a half!) working AI apps in under an hour using their PartyRock platform with zero code! #Solopreneur life here I come…!? Jokes aside, the number of times I was told “developers would LOVE if you communicated biz requirements with this” made me realise the importance of no/low-code in streamlining business 🤝 tech collaboration 🤖 Lots of demos showcasing swarm agent architecture (e.g. having an “evaluator” agent judge the outputs of another agent). Guest speaker Julien SIMON from Hugging Face put it nicely when he said - “The reason you give GenAI models a role when prompt engineering is because it helps them perform at their best. So why not bring together a team of GenAI agents, each with their own roles?” 🎤 Julien’s talk on the benefits of open-source in enterprise (and as an accelerator for innovation and collaboration in AI). Hey there!💬 ☁️𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟔 𝐨𝐟 𝟑𝟎 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 Today's task: 𝐀𝐖𝐒 𝐑𝐞𝐤𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐏𝐄 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬, 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐤𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬.💻 I recently had the chance to dive deep into AWS Rekognition and leverage its AI-driven capabilities across multiple use cases: 𝐏𝐏𝐄 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Ensuring safety by detecting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as helmets, vests, and masks in images. This feature is invaluable for industrial applications where safety compliance is critical. 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬: Using Rekognition’s facial analysis tools to identify emotions, demographics, and even detect features like eyewear or facial landmarks, making it a powerful tool for enhancing user engagement and personalization. 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐤𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: I explored Rekognition’s ability to identify well-known figures across images and videos, which can be a game-changer for media monitoring, content moderation, and entertainment. 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬: Processing video streams to detect activities, objects, and scenes—opening up endless possibilities for content indexing, media analytics, and security monitoring. I’d like to take a moment to thank my mentors, Chris Glary . C and Arockia Shermila S for their guidance and support as I worked through Day 2 of the 30 Days Cloud Challenge guiding us through PEP Cloud Computing (AWS/ Azure/ GCP) and DevOps Centre.
