Working with R&D sure is fun, but most of the time the fun cannot be shared outside the organization. Today however is different, because today we launch the product I have been working with for the past 18 months. A new generation thermal monocular, designed for law enforcement and search and rescue. Of course it will have great image quality, live streaming over wifi, an app, and all that you can expect from a modern tech product. But from my perspective as a mechanical engineer I like to highlight the super sleek and durable design with ease of use in focus. The camera should be a point and shoot tool, intuitive for anyone. It should withstand the harsh conditions it will be used in, meaning we have certified it for IP67 and 2m drop.
