Democracy is a form of government that advocates for the rights of its citizens and for their voices to be heard in decision making process of the Nation. Today, we are able to enjoy a democratic government because of our older generation who fought to make it possible. We can not talk about a democratic government without regarding the battles fought by our heros (our older citizens) that made it a reality. While we celebrate the democracy of our dear Nation, we ought to recognize our older persons as full members of the society whom are also entitled to the benefits of the fundamental human right. It is our duty as the younger generations and members of the society to advocate for an inclusive system where our elders are being included and their rights met. 🥂Cheers to a democratic government! 🥂Cheers to a system that includes the rights of the elderly citizens! 🚨 Child Labour: A Grim Reality We Can't Ignore 🚨 Every day, we witness (if we are not comfortably numb) the heartbreaking scenes of child labour around us. Tiny children chasing after goats, kids on garbage heaps sorting through rubbish for saleable plastic, or being exploited as free interns. It’s time to acknowledge this crisis and take action. At Diya Ghar, we offer hope for some of these children, providing them with a safe space to learn and grow, away from hazardous conditions. Today, on World Day Against Child Labour, we join the global movement to end this inhumane practice. Every child deserves a childhood full of dreams, play, and education. Yet, millions are trapped in a cycle of exploitation and hardship. The United Nations emphasizes the link between social justice and child labour, urging us all to focus our efforts on eradicating this issue. You can make a difference! For just INR 4,250/- per month, or you can sponsor a child for a year, giving them the care and opportunities they need to thrive. 🌟 Donate Now: https://lnkd.in/gFGZNy9H Let’s come together to build a future where every child can experience the joy and freedom of childhood. #WorldDayAgainstChildLabour #EndChildLabour #SupportChildren #DiyaGhar #SponsorAChild #SocialJustice #DonateNow ---------- ---------- Me. The United Nations believes that with focused efforts on the primary causes and recognizing the link between social justice and child labour, we can eradicate this issue. Every child deserves to experience childhood in a safe and nurturing environment, free from the burden of manual labour. Unfortunately, many children in impoverished nations still face physical and emotional exploitation. At Diya Ghar, we are dedicated to protecting these vulnerable children and ensuring their well-being and development. Would you consider making a difference by sponsoring a child for a year with just INR 4,250/- for a month? Your support can provide a child with the care and opportunities they need to thrive. Just like in previous years #Efacec invited three organisations to showcase their projects and invite our employees to donate 0.5% of their Personal Income Tax (IRS). Get to know more on how these organization help the communities: ✔️ Arrimo - intervenes with people and communities to eliminate poverty and social exclusion; ✔️ Associação Plano i – addresses current social issues such as inequality, discrimination, violence, exclusion and poverty; ✔️ ATACA ONGD – contributes to the development of children and young people in Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau through a team of volunteers and distance tutors. Each one of us has the power to make a difference in someone’s life just by donating 0.5% of the IRS, at no cost, because every small gesture can have a big impact. #SocialResponsibility #EmpoweringTheFuture

Deuteronomy 15:11 For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, 'You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land. Many of the children never wanted to be produced by the poor parents, and also the parents never grew up when they want to give birth to their children when they are poor because it seriously gives burden to children This leads to some parents leave out their children on streets, some throw them in toilets. This implies that poverty was meant to be their in the World for others to help the needy poor people according to their ability, Helping the unfortunate children doesn't need one to be a billionaire but it needs sacrifice and human kindness because there's nothing less or little when helping in God's world. 2024 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬! Today, as we commemorate this year's International Day of #Charity, we are reminded of the importance of kindness, empathy, and giving back. According to the UN, millions of people in Nigeria and around the world struggle with poverty, unemployment, and social inequality. Humanitarian crises continue to displace families and deny children basic rights all over the world. These issues require immediate attention, not only from governments or large organizations, but from all of us. At DPAX EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION, we believe that charity is more than just financial assistance; it includes time, love, and action to create a #just society. Charity plays a critical role in shaping the future we want for our communities, nation, and world, whether it's addressing poverty, improving access to education, supporting health services, or advocating for social justice. This day is more than just a celebration; it is a call to action for all of us to make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable, marginalized, and disadvantaged. We invite you to get involved in this change-making movement. #InternationalDayOfCharity2024 #GivingBack #CharityForChange #EndPoverty #SocialJustice #EmpowerCommunities #NigeriaForAll #DPAXEMPOWERMENTFOUNDATION

Embrace the unknown 😊 Life is full of twists and turns, and sometimes we find ourselves at a crossroads, unsure of which path to take. It's normal to feel lost, uncertain, and unsure of what the future holds. Remember, it's okay to not have all the answers. It's okay to take your time, to pause, and to reflect on your journey so far. Don't put too much pressure on yourself to have it all figured out. Embrace the unknown, and trust that the next step will reveal itself when the time is right. Take a deep breath, be kind to yourself, and remember that you're not alone. We're all navigating the ups and downs of life together. ------------------ I'm Ssembatya, Executive Director of GRM I work with vulnerable children and young adults in rural Uganda. The alarming case involving Sarim Burney, a prominent #humanrights activist and philanthropist accused of #childtrafficking under the guise of #adoption, has particularly disturbed civil society and social workers across the country. This unfortunate incident sheds light on the severe flaws within Pakistan’s #childcare system and calls for immediate and comprehensive reforms. The exploitation of #vulnerable children, as highlighted by this case, is a stark reminder of the urgent need to reevaluate how we #care for and #protect our #children. In Pakistan, the over-reliance on institutional care, particularly in #orphanages, has become a growing concern. This issue is further intensified by the mushrooming growth of private orphanages in all parts of the country in recent years. Taking care of orphans attracts significant charitable donations, leading to the rapid establishment of many orphanages that now thrive on public funds. Unfortunately, these institutions often house children who are not true orphans but come from impoverished families struggling with financial or social difficulties. This unnecessary institutionalization not only separates children from their families but also exposes them to potential risks of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Today, I want to shed light on the importance of community service and charity, which I believe lie at the heart of our humanity—supporting one another through life's challenges. As socio-economic disparities grow in Pakistan and across the globe, we should all recognize the responsibility we share to make a difference. During my time as President of the NUST Volunteers Club (NVC), I had the privilege of meeting families daily who were struggling in ways many of us could hardly imagine. These experiences reinforced a harsh truth in my mind: if I’m not there for others in their time of need, I should not expect anyone to be there for me. This post is just a reminder to frequently contribute, in any capacity you can. While large organizations like Shaukat Khanum (Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre), Al-Khidmat (Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan), and other established institutions receive substantial international funding, smaller, local NGOs—those embedded in the heart of our communities—are often overlooked. Students in societies like the NUST Volunteers Club are directly engaged with critical cases of urgent need. NGOs such as the Human Care Foundation and Kaar-e-Kamal Welfare Organization have well-established support programs that rely heavily on your donations to make a difference where it’s needed the most. Your support for grassroots organizations like these doesn’t just change lives—it creates lasting impact, far beyond the financial value. So don't forget to look around. Let's uplift those who need it most. 🌍🤝 . . #CommunityService #SocialResponsibility #DonateWisely #SmallNGOs #NUSTVolunteers #Karekamal #GivingBack
