On 24 April 2024, following intense discussions, the European Parliament enacted a heavily revised version of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (#CSDDD). Whilst providing some relief to the organisations in scope, the new rules still have strict obligations on companies to address adverse environmental and human rights impacts of their business actions in their value chains, not only within but also beyond Europe.
