Another great event following the launch six months ago. The day brought teams together to connect, share updates, and celebrate Llanw's progress. Feedback has been positive—colleagues appreciated the business insights, the interactive sessions, and just having a chance to see other colleagues face-to-face. I think getting feedback is key to shaping future events, especially to make sure they’re something everyone wants to attend. How do others gather feedback from remote or on-the-tools team members who aren’t at their desks much during the day? Any creative approaches or tools you’d recommend?
Happy half-birthday to us! 🎂 Last month, Llanw turned six months old, so we held a business update and celebration event to highlight what we’ve achieved so far and to show our appreciation for our colleagues. Here’s a closer look at what happened last Friday: - Group Chief Executive, Jo Oak, kicked things off by sharing our future plans, including developing our people and services - Mike Gubb, Learning, Development & Performance Manager led a session on customer service and Sian Macnamara, Business Support Manager, talked to us about how we’re recording and analysing customer feedback after each repair - We enjoyed lots of food, coffee, and pastries 🥐 Shaun McGregor, Operations Manager, also gave an update on our recent achievements and Paul Price, Managing Director, shared some stats around how we’re performing so far. 🚀 Navigating Challenges and Building Trust 🚀 This past week has been filled with nonstop commotion—from supply chain delays to last-minute projects. This is what I truly love about the game. On Monday, my buddies called needing a Hail Mary for the homecoming game that Friday. The hats were delayed and didn’t arrive until Friday afternoon, but my team rushed to get them out in just three hours. While the outcome of the game wasn’t what we hoped for, those hats turned out incredibly clean! Saying “no” to my partners, supporters, and friends would only give them a reason to doubt my commitment to service. Customer retention in today’s market looks very different from the pre-2000 era, but one thing remains constant: the importance of treating people well. When you prioritize relationships and show that you genuinely care about your clients and team, you build a foundation of trust that wins deals. In a world of rapid changes, let’s not forget the power of kindness and respect. These values are the cornerstones of lasting success.
