🌦️ Inclement Weather Update: Monitoring System Over Northwest Caribbean 🌦️ 20 September 2024 | Update as of 12:30pm Listen to the update from Kerry Powery, Chief Meteorologist from the National Weather Service. See a summarised transcript below. This is Kerry Powery, Chief Meteorologist with the Cayman Islands National Weather Service. We’re closely monitoring a system over the Northwest Caribbean with moderate potential for development early next week. The public should rest assured that the government is closely watching the system and is well prepared to mitigate any risk that may arise. Our primary concern at this stage is the potential for flooding. We anticipate significant rainfall beginning this Sunday and possibly extending through Thursday of next week. Current models predict approximately 5 to 7 inches of rainfall for Grand Cayman and 4 to 6 inches for the Sister Islands over this period. Please stay informed through our daily updates on Facebook and WhatsApp. Your safety is our top priority!

I find weather fascinating, especially when you add water to the mix. There are many tools for tracking weather and capturing patterns, historic and predictive. Apps available to the public all using different weather data, and ways of returning the data. But the amazing thing about weather is, it is still mother nature who decides what happens. This fact check is very interesting, thanks for sharing NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration 🌊 🌍 🌦 🌈 #weatherdata #noaa #sharingiscaring
FACT CHECK: Debunking weather modification claims. No one creates or steers hurricanes; the technology does not exist. Learn more:
