All 3 parameters of improvement adress emergent threst Improvements noted in Ukraine and Levant by all involved which as we have noted example of inexpensive Chinese Rf jammers dosrupted the accuracy of our GPS guidedATACMS AND JDAMS Weaponns. Those improvements were developed under the so-called Form, Fit, Function Refresh programme, also known as F3R.

Ready. Aim. Fire! It’s time to reveal the news you’ve been waiting for... Alongside Dstl and the UK Ministry of Defence, we’ve successfully completed a live-fire test of our High Energy Laser Weapon System (HELWS). In this evolving threat landscape, the low cost and high impact of Uncrewed Air Systems (UASs) means innovative new solutions are needed now. Laser directed energy weapons form a key pillar of modern air defence, engaging UASs at far lower cost than traditional methods. This live-fire field test marks a key moment in the UK’s adoption of this critical technology. Image created by combining infrared and regular footage:

#MiddleEastTensions | This article indicates that the DoD #intelligence leaked last week was obtained by collection (i.e. spying) on #Israel, and not voluntarily shared by Israel with the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC). What most often determines the classification of information? How it was collected vs. the sensitivity of the information itself. How the IC collects is one of its most closely guarded secrets. This means #Israel has now gained better fidelity on U.S. collection capabilities due to likely anti-Israel actors within the IC, and knows what it needs to do to conceal its operations from US sabotage like this leak. Strategically, it will continue to distance itself from its closest ally and act more as an independent regional actor. This all comes right before an expected serious retaliatory strike on Iran. The leaker(s) may yet achieve their objective of foiling an Israeli attack, but in the longterm, Israel will further insulate itself from U.S. dependence and influence. The repercussions of this may not be reversible.

This is a synthetic aperture radar (#SAR) image from #China's #Taijing 4-03 #satellite. It is #Nolfolk on the East Coast of the #UnitedStates and is a picture of the main base of the Atlantic Fleet. Two aircraft carriers and two #Burke-class destroyers are clearly visible. Taisung 4 is a civilian SAR satellite with a constellation of five satellites. The United States still has more satellites than China, but most #US satellites are old and their technical level cannot compare with Beijing's new satellites. This is really the advantage for China. China first solved the "combat" problem: anti-ship ballistic missiles are still a difficult threat to intercept. Next it solved the problem of chain of command and control. Light and #5G have greatly improved the speed of networking and information exchange. Now it has solved the problem of ocean surveillance. The U.S. carrier fleet will have no chance of survival between the first island chain and the second island chain.

Knowledge of the enemy's deployment and movements is a key prerequisite for the success of military missions. Signals intelligence or SIGINT plays a special role in this as it has the potential to provide the crews with something that commanders at all levels strive for: Information superiority through actionable intelligence. THE ITALIAN MAGAZINE LIMES ILLUSTRATES A SCENARIO WITH THE USE OF THE ISRAELI JERICHO.3 MISSILE AGAINST IRAN! According to the illustrative scheme, Israel could respond to Iran using Jericho-3 ballistic missiles, but are we kidding? Houthis Shoot Down Third MQ-9; Five Now Lost to Hostile Fire in Just Over a Year Houthi rebels claim to have shot down an MQ-9 drone over Yemen on April 25, releasing nighttime intercept footage and daytime video of what appears to be MQ-9 wreckage. If confirmed, it would mark the third MQ-9 shot down by the Houthis in the past six months and the the sixth Reaper damaged in various Middle East conflicts within the 13 months. The nighttime footage shows what appears to be the launch of a surface-to-air missile, followed by an explosion and falling wreckage. The daytime footage shows the aftermath: the apparent remains of an MQ-9 tail section, propellers and engine, and portions of a wing. Some of the parts are labeled “General Atomics.” A Houthi spokesman did not say what kind of surface-to-air missile was used in the attack. #PhoenixDelivers #houthis #reaper https://lnkd.in/eiZE8b-n
