I wanted to dive into a question that's buzzing around in my mind: Is it too late for me to switch to embedded software engineering? Just to give you a little background, I recently wrapped up my studies and I'm currently working as a SOC analyst. While I’ve enjoyed it, I’ve discovered a real passion for coding—except web development, which doesn’t quite hit the mark for me. Here are some key points I’ve been contemplating: Experience Matters: Coming from a SOC analyst role, I've got a solid foundation in networking. But when it comes to embedded systems, I’m feeling a bit lost since I lack an electrical engineering background. Just knowing the basics about circuits makes me wonder if I can catch up. 🤔 Coding Skills: I've been revising C and am now at an intermediate level, especially with sockets, which is exciting!
