I've been in some brilliant calls today talking about how we as a company and as individuals can be more inclusive, across all of the protected characteristics, as well as those diversity areas that aren't always considered, like class and education (check out The 93% Club for more on this). It's been really inspiring to see how many people want to be more inclusive in the workplace and the energy that they bring to that mission, even without a lot of personal 'skin in the game'. Intersectional action to make sure everyone is safe and supported to be themselves at work is really important, not just for the actual wellbeing of those currently employed, but also in terms of ensuring a company actually can attract and retain employees. 80% of employees want to work for a company that values diversity, equity and inclusion efforts - that's a good majority that want a diverse set of thoughts around the table. I'd also like to shout out the kindness and support I've seen today for the LGBTQ+ community, particularly trans+ people. The media reports online never pay attention to the actual support that still exists out there, particularly with all the political frenzy. If you're trans, or any other part of the LGBTQ+ spectrum, please know that you're loved, you're valued, and there are people who want to make the world a safer place for you. #DEI #Inclusion #Diversity #Pride2024 #Allyship

🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🌈 As we celebrate Pride Month, it's so important to reflect on how far we've come in advancing LGBTQIA+ rights and recognize the journey still ahead. This year's theme at Atlas, "The Future of Pride," reminds us that while we've made significant strides, there is still SO much work to be done to achieve true equality and acceptance. In our workplaces, creating an inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ employees is truly important. We have to continue to advocate for the rights and visibility of all individuals within the community, ensuring that every voice is heard and every person feels safe and valued. This mission isn't just for the LGBTQIA+ community - it's a collective effort where allies play a crucial role. To the LGBTQIA+ community: You are seen, you are loved, and you matter. Your contributions enrich our workplaces and our lives! Your courage and authenticity inspire us all to create a world where everyone can thrive. Never forget the importance of your presence and the impact you make every day! To fellow allies: your support, understanding, and advocacy are vital. You help create inclusive spaces, challenge discrimination, and amplify voices. Together, we can build a future where everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, can live authentically and proudly, both in and out of the workplace! Let's continue to stand together, celebrate our diversity, and push for a more inclusive and equitable world - Happy Pride Month! 🤩 #PrideMonth #Pride2024 #PrideMonth2024 #TheFutureOfPride #LGBTQIA #Equality #Inclusion #Allies #Diversity #WorkplaceInclusion #Atlas #AtlasHXM #InclusionAtAtlas #TheFutureOfWorkIsBelonging

Here are some tips to help you make a real impact: 🔍 Be Authentic: Ensure your Pride activities reflect your company’s true values. Assess how equity and inclusion are currently represented in your workplace. Use Pride Month to make lasting changes. Superficial gestures won't cut it—Pride is about integrity, purpose, and genuine commitment. 🗣️ Listen to Your LGBTQ+ Employees: Engage directly with your LGBTQ+ team members to understand their needs and wants. Their insights are crucial for planning celebrations that truly matter to them. Create a brave space for open conversations and let their voices lead the way. 💡 Support Your LGBTQ+ Team Members: Allocate your budget towards Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) or similar initiatives. Trust these groups to know what’s best—they have the passion and expertise to create meaningful programs and events. Provide them with the resources they need to shine. 🌟 Champion LGBTQ+ Businesses: Make a point to support LGBTQ+ businesses. 🌈✨ June is all about #PrideMonth, but at Sustainable Partners Ltd and Sustainable Talent LTD, celebrating diversity and inclusion isn't just a June thing—it’s a year-round commitment. 🏳️🌈💪 We've been engaging with our team to deepen our understanding and support for the LGBTQ+ community. Our Managing Director and Co-Founder, Oliver Thomas Hallows, shares his insights on why this matters every day of the year, not just in June. Why is Pride important to me? Pride is important to me as I am passionate about embracing each others differences. Diversity is what makes the world more interesting after all, how dull would it be if we were all the same? Pride does so much to raise awareness and then influences change. A lot of the time people don't mean to offend or discriminate they are just ignorant to those who aren't the same as them - education is key. In the Sustainable Group we always ensure we do our best to influence inclusivity and diversity within our customers. We recognise that for the renewables sector to be the best it can be it needs to embrace positive change. #Pride #DiversityAndInclusion #EverydayPride #EqualityForAll James King David Honey Mhari-Claire Doolan Chris Godwin Lauren Kelly Renee Crainey Mukesh Dhir John Stead Oliver Thomas Hallows Bridget Mcpartlin Gareth Corcoran

🌈 Creating an Inclusive Workplace: Celebrating Diversity As we celebrate Pride Month, I want to emphasize fostering an inclusive environment for all employees. Here’s how we walk the walk: Education and Awareness: Provide ongoing training to raise awareness about LGBTQIA+ identities, pronouns, and experiences. Understanding leads to empathy, and empathy drives inclusivity. Doing this just once doesn't instill this as a company value. Inclusive Policies: Use gender-neutral language and recognize diverse family structures. Respect everyone’s right to self-identify and express their authentic selves. Zero Tolerance for Discrimination: Discrimination should not be tolerated in the workplace. Actively address any incidents promptly and support affected employees. Employee Resource Groups: Advertise and support your LGBTQIA+ ERG (Employee Resource Group). These groups provide a safe space for networking, mentorship, and advocacy. Allies are welcome too! Community Engagement: Don’t stop at banners. Participates in local Pride events, partner with LGBTQ+ organizations, and amplify the community voices. Remember, inclusivity isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a commitment. Let’s continue to learn, support, and celebrate together! 🌟🤝🏽 #PrideAtWork #InclusionMatters #DiversityandInclusion #LGBTQAlly #Transgenderrights #Pride2024 #PrideAllYearLong

As Non-Binary Awareness Week 🌈comes to a close, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the courage and resilience of non-binary & gender non conforming individuals everywhere. This week, and every day, we recognize the unique challenges and triumphs that come with living authentically. For me being non-binary means navigating a world that often insists on fitting us into predefined boxes. It's about constantly coming out, educating, and advocating for our identities. It's about finding strength in our truth and forging our own paths. To my non-binary friends and colleagues: You are seen, valued, and celebrated. Your experiences enrich our communities and workplaces, bringing diverse perspectives that are essential for growth and innovation. To allies and organizations: Let's commit to creating spaces where non-binary individuals feel safe, respected, and included. This means using correct pronouns, offering gender-neutral facilities, and fostering a culture of empathy and understanding. #NonBinaryAwarenessWeek #Inclusion #Diversity #LGBTQ+ #BeYourself #EquityAndInclusion

Historically, LGBTQIA+ leaders have been at the forefront of social change, advocating for the rights and recognition of LGBTQIA+ individuals and other marginalized groups. Figures like Harvey Milk and Marsha P. Johnson, for example, have help dismantled systemic barriers and challenged discriminatory practices, contributing to a vision for a more just and equitable world. In corporate spaces, LGBTQIA+ leaders are driving diversity and inclusion practices, championing stakeholder governance to prioritize the well-being and interests of all stakeholders, thereby ensuring that LGBTQIA+ individuals and other marginalized groups have a genuine voice. To mark #InternationalPrideDay, we spoke with three LGBTQIA+ led #BCorps – BUDDY BUDDY, Eosis, and Mightybytes, Certified B Corp — to learn how they successfully integrate stakeholder governance into their business practices and continuously work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable system. Their authenticity, resilience, and commitment to inclusivity set a powerful example, encouraging others to embrace diversity as a strength and to build workplaces and communities where everyone can thrive. 🏳️🌈🔗 Read the full blog post on our website to learn more about their stories: https://bit.ly/4eI09T9 #LGBTQIA #DiversityAndInclusion #StakeholderGovernance #BCorp

🌈 Pride is not about being performative but transformative 🌈 During my recent trip to London, I noticed a pride golf cart among 20-30 others, brightly adorned with Pride colors. As much as I appreciate the representation, I yearn for more meaningful changes towards the LGBTQ+ communities in the UK. There's so much resistance and negativity in both the US and UK that it seems companies are becoming indifferent. There's a growing compassion fatigue towards trans and gender-diverse communities. Pride Month is essential to remember that this time is not just for colorful parades and corporate rainbow logos. Pride is a powerful movement rooted in the fight for equality, dignity, and human rights for the LGBTQ+ community. Let's use this month as an opportunity to reflect on how we can drive real change: ✅ Support LGBTQ+ organizations: Donate your time, resources, or funds to groups making a difference. ✅ Educate ourselves and others: Learn about the history of Pride and the ongoing struggles faced by the LGBTQ+ community. ✅ Advocate for inclusive policies: Push for policies that protect and uplift LGBTQ+ individuals in our workplaces and communities. ✅ Be an ally every day: Stand up against discrimination and support your LGBTQ+ colleagues, friends, and family members throughout the year. True transformation happens when we move beyond performative gestures and commit to creating a world where everyone can live authentically and freely. #PrideMonth #LGBTQ #Inclusion #Diversity #Transformation #Allyship #linkedintopvoices #allies #allyship #changemakers #diversityequityinclusion #diversity #diversityequityandinclusion #hrconsulting #hr #mentalhealth #hrtech #Bathroom2Boardroom #diversityandinclusion #neurodiversity #hradvice #hrrecruiter #hrrecruitment #leadership #humanresources #deib #lgbtq #transgender #genderdiverse #gendernonbinary #humanrights #ceo #ceos #leadership #leaders #healthcare #healthequity #diversityinclinicaltrials #genderequity #racialequity
