Job Description: As an #Export Manager at #Nouka Food Industries, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in international markets. You will be responsible for developing and executing export strategies to increase sales of dates and date products in new and existing markets. Key Responsibilities: #Market Development & Expansion: Identify and explore new international markets for dates and date-based products. Develop and implement strategic export plans to penetrate and grow these markets. Conduct in-depth market research to assess trends, competition, and demand in target regions. #Sales & Business Development: Drive sales growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and partners in global markets. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in export management, specifically in the food industry with a focus on dates and date-based products. Proven track record in opening and expanding new international markets for food products. Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of global market dynamics, particularly in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and North America. Expertise in international trade laws, customs regulations, and export documentation. Knowledge of dates varieties, production processes, and quality standards is highly preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Fluency in English is required. #MayIspeakToTheManager The most sell out words you can say to a service provider in Botswana especially as a Motswana. Allow me to unpack; You run the till at a shop, you are rude to your customers, unhelpful and downright condescending However, if everyone recognised their roles and played them accordingly, the words would not cause anyone to panick. Service is in dire straight in more establishments than is necessary because people sign up for jobs they dont want to do and feel are beneath them then end up begrudging the customer for. Save for the equally rude customer I believe service is about recognising you are there to make the experience easier and more seamless for the patron and/or supplier. To do this however, one must recognise their value and realise that their role does not determine or define their worth. If anything they are crucial to the businesses’ ability to retain and delight customers. And since this is no easy feat, one must take pride. Once we get to a place of valuing our roles and being helpful then calling the manager becomes an instance to solve a procedural issue that has not been codified or to offer and authorise discounts or any such issue that is divorced from behaviour other than to give praise and appreciate

Sales is the same everywhere, is the technicality that is different. Once you can get and understand the technicality you'll strive. But however, try and master your current industry irrespective of your position. example, if you're in the biscuit industry in Lagos you should know the major dealers in biscuits. If you're a Rep liase with your colleagues and understand how their territory functions and if possible take out time to pay a trade visit with them as this will give you a comprehensive knowledge of the major dealers in that industry. You might get a job as a Sales Manager in biscuits industry and this knowledge will play a key role to your success.
