🛫 Exciting Changes in Nigerian Aviation! 🇳🇬 The recent NCAR Part 9.1.1.6(b: 3, 4) amendments bring a paradigm shift to AOC issuance criteria. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority may now deny an AOC if an applicant's previous AOC was revoked or if individuals linked to a prior revocation gain substantial ownership or key positions. A game-changer for industry professionals, emphasizing the need for unwavering professionalism and compliance. However, the question remains: do the authorities maintain a registry of professionals whose past actions have led to the revocation of an AOC? ✈️ come with me as we explore the consequences discussed in the article that follows. #NigerianAviation #AOCStandards #ProfessionalismInTheSkies Cliqjets Consulting Sindy Foster Nkosana Donga BTh Honors joy Ogbebo Festus Keyamo, SAN https://lnkd.in/dYUzAm_8

I'm currently participating in a private aviation brokers' training organized by The Air Charter Association. Even with years of experience, one thing remains certain - you must never stop learning. As Robert Greene wisely put it, “(...) the moment you rest thinking that you have attained the level you desire, a part of your mind enters a phase of decay.” A recent training session in Billund, Denmark, reminded me just how essential it is for senior brokers to stay humble and vigilant, avoiding the mistakes that can come from complacency. Ongoing education, staying on top of market trends, and adapting to changes in sales management - especially with new generations bringing fresh mindsets to the field - are all crucial. The aviation industry is dynamic and constantly evolving, shaped not only by geopolitical factors and advancing technologies but also by shifts in customer service approaches and travelers’ habits. To remain effective, it’s vital to stay alert to these changes in the aviation and business landscape. There’s no room for resting on past successes simply because one is a seasoned professional in the industry. #foodforthought #training #aviationbroker #privateaviation #moccajet #charter #broker #generalaviation #jetcharter #privateflight #privatejet

When someone wishes to start an airline, s/he needs to obtain an Air Operator Certificate. The Civil Aviation Authority ‘’CAA’’ will first brief that person about the certification process and the regulatory requirements that must be met. Based on the information available and the probability of success, the applicant or the CAA decides whether the process should continue. At this point, the applicant makes a written statement of intent, usually in a standard CAA format. This normally indicates the location of the principal base of operations, location of training & maintenance facilities, key management personnel, Airplanes to be used [owned or leased], type of intended operation, intended route structure, and area of operation. Economic regulations are distinct from Technical regulations, which are developed to meet safety objectives. The applicant must apply for authorization from the economic regulatory authority for the service, and what is issued for that is the Air Transport License, which is a separate document from the Air Operator Certificate. To carry out air transport operations, the Airline MUST hold both documents.

Cancel your flight tickets using this DGCA rule! According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s Passenger Charter Rules, you can cancel or amend your flight ticket within 24 hours of booking without paying any extra charges. But wait! Airlines may deduct a small processing fee from the refunded amount. For example, Indigo charges just ₹250 as an assistance fee in such cases. However, this refund is only applicable if your flight’s departure is at least 7 days away from the booking date. Dear Colleagues good morning and happy week start! We are frequently asked to carry out #ACMI or #WETLEASE operations and even today, there remains some confusion when it comes to selecting the appropriate operations based on your current needs, so it's crucial to address this in the correct manner. Occasionally, clients approach us requesting ACMI, but they expect the Lessor to use their own call sign. I am happy to clarify this: Both the Lessor and Lessee (referred to as the #AIRLINES) must hold a valid AIRCRAFT OPERATOR CERTIFICATE, commonly known as an "#AOC." Under such conditions, an ACMI operation can be conducted. If the customer does not possess a valid AOC, such as Brokers, Tour Operators, sports teams, etc., then it will be categorized as a #Charter operation. If you are questioning the reasons to consider an ACMI/Wet Lease operation, there are several potential scenarios: late deliveries, planned or unexpected maintenance, crew shortages, or any scheduled or non-planned tasks. What does ACMI mean and what type of costs are involved? ACMI stands for #Aircraft - #Crew - #Maintenance - #Insurance, and all these costs are typically covered by the #Lessor, who is the operator in this case. So, what is the difference compared to a #charter operation? In a charter operation, while the operator or Lessor covers ACMI costs, they also take care of Direct Operating Costs (#DOCs) such as fuel, airport charges, navigation charges or, if applicable, passenger compensation. Therefore, an ACMI operation is a type of contract where the operator covers ACMI costs for a block hour rate paid by the client, and the client or Lessee directly covers the DOCs.
