In the rush of everyday life, it’s easy to overlook what’s going well. To deliberately see the progress that we’ve made and the people who make it all possible. Thanksgiving is a perfect time to change that. Acknowledging the people and conditions that help you succeed isn’t just a nice thing to do, it can be transformative. Leading with positivity helps us to build upon what’s working well so that we can get even better in the future. And bringing gratitude into the workplace can build the trust that’s essential for psychological safety—a space where ideas, feedback, and even failures are received as opportunities to learn and grow. Here are a few simple ways to bring that Thanksgiving spirit into the workplace: 1. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀: Set a positive tone for your meetings by sharing something you appreciate. Doesn’t need to be big: could be a team effort, a personal win, or someone’s quiet contribution. 2. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘀: Acknowledging all milestones—big or small—reminds everyone that their contributions matter. 3. 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸: Pair constructive criticism with a recognition of people's strengths and good intentions. Bonus: this not only helps people grow but also can motivate them to stretch outside their comfort zone and take risks. 4. 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱: Appreciation isn’t just for your team—stakeholders, customers, and partners deserve it, too. Relationships thrive when effort is valued. As we head into the new year, let’s hold onto this practice. Valued people do their best work, and organizations grow when individuals feel seen and supported. To everyone that we’ve worked with this year: thank you for your creativity, your dedication, and the care you bring to your craft. What are you grateful for in your journey this year? Let’s share the wins that often go unspoken.

A Time to Reflect… Thanksgiving often becomes a ritual centered around gathering with loved ones and enjoying delicious food—and yes, it is partly about that. But for me, over the past few years, it’s also become a time to slow down and reflect on what I’m truly thankful for. The first thing that always comes to mind is my daughters—they are my heart and soul. But I’ve also made it a personal mission to dig deeper, to expand my gratitude beyond the obvious. I think about the opportunities I’ve had to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the people I’ve served and supported. I reflect on how I’ve contributed in ways that matter. Just as importantly, I think about the people who have poured into me, shaping me, guiding me, and helping me grow. At its core, I believe life is about learning, growing, and—most of all—practicing gratitude. This Thanksgiving, I encourage everyone in my network to pause for a moment. Reflect not only on what you’re thankful for but also on how you can view both your personal and professional journeys as gifts rather than obstacles. Gratitude shifts perspective, and perspective changes everything. 🍂 It’s all too easy to glance at our lives and focus solely on the hustle, the challenges, and the never-ending to-do lists. At first glance, we often see what's tangible: our job titles, deadlines, and the blinking notifications that demand our attention. But during this season of gratitude, ask yourself, "What do I really see?" Seeing, in its truest form, goes beyond the surface. It invites us to delve deeper, to recognize the richness in our experiences, and to appreciate the tapestry of connections, opportunities, and growth around us. This perspective shift transforms ordinary moments into extraordinary ones, highlighting the gratitude that surrounds us each day. During Thanksgiving, we are reminded to slow down and look beyond what we typically notice—to see the support of our colleagues, the encouragement of mentors, and the resilience within ourselves. We are urged to see the potential for innovation and collaboration rather than obstacles. This Thanksgiving, I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with visionary individuals who see beyond the immediate and aspire to greatness. What are you grateful for this season? Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 🙏 #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Inspiration #GrowthMindset

This Thanksgiving, we're reflecting on gratitude—not just for the season, but as a mindset that shapes how we connect, work, and grow together. We’re incredibly thankful for the people who make our work meaningful—our team, clients, and partners. Your trust, collaboration, and inspiration fuel everything we do. Here are three things we’re especially grateful for this year: Our community: The relationships we’ve built with colleagues, clients, and friends remind us of what truly matters. Trust and connection: Your trust motivates us to create meaningful work that supports your growth and success. Moments that matter: From shared laughter to inspiring conversations, these moments enrich our journey. Wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, joy, and appreciation. Let’s carry this gratitude into the months ahead and create new opportunities together.

Show your gratitude As we approach the holiday season and the end of another year, our thoughts often look forward to a break – if only for a few days. If we can just get through the next couple of weeks, all will be well. If you’re feeling it, so are your team. It’s also a time for gratitude. Yes, it may feel like a fluffy buzzword, but it can have a place in your organisation. Some might send a bottle of wine to their customers, some a greetings card and a staff party or morning tea shout will be planned. Denise Woodward, founder and CEO of Partake Foods spends a few moments each day writing down the things she’s grateful for. Some are personal, and some are from her business. She says, “Incorporating gratitude into my daily life and business has been transformative for my mindset, for my company’s culture, and for our bottom line. For example, we have a “values” channel in our company Slack where anyone can highlight a team member’s contributions that align to our company values. These moments of recognition cost nothing but build a sense of community and mutual respect. Gratitude also goes beyond internal teams. I’ve made it a habit to send handwritten thank-you notes to partners, investors, and even customers. In an increasingly digital world, these small, thoughtful gestures stand out and strengthen relationships”. We all like to feel valued. Your team will appreciate the recognition but you have to tell them. For your customers and suppliers, the handwritten thank you note is a great way to show your appreciation and deepen a business relationship with them for very little effort. Probably more so than a bottle of wine.

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what truly matters. For businesses, it’s easy to get caught up in the numbers, the metrics, the next big thing. But at TeamLogic IT, we’ve learned something important: It all comes back to people. Every service we provide, every solution we create—it starts with a customer-first approach. Because when our clients succeed, we succeed. This Thanksgiving, we’re thankful for the trust our clients place in us and the opportunity to help them grow, thrive, and solve real challenges. Gratitude isn’t just a feeling—it’s how we work every day.
