🚀 Innovation that Matters: How Terviva is Leading the Way in Sustainable Agriculture 🌱 In a world that urgently needs sustainable solutions, innovation isn't just a buzzword—it's a necessity. At Terviva, we’re transforming agriculture by rethinking how we grow and produce food sustainably. 🌍🌾 ✨ So, what sets Terviva apart? 🔬 Regenerative Agriculture: By cultivating the climate-resilient Pongamia tree, Terviva is harnessing the power of nature to restore degraded land. The result? A crop that not only produces nutritious food but also revitalizes the soil it grows in. 💡 Data-Driven Impact: Up to 70% Reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional soybean and palm oil production. Pongamia trees can capture over 44 tons of CO₂ per acre during their lifespan, making them a powerful ally in the fight against climate change. Our trees can thrive on marginal lands, unlocking new potential for regions impacted by soil degradation and climate stress. 🍽️ Nutritious & Sustainable Food Sources: Pongamia produces high-protein beans that can be transformed into plant-based protein and oil, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional food sources. With a focus on soil health, water conservation, and zero deforestation, Terviva is paving the way for the future of food. 📈 Driving Positive Change: We’re not just about planting trees—we're about cultivating partnerships, empowering farmers, and ensuring long-term environmental and economic resilience. Our innovative approach is turning unproductive land into thriving ecosystems, creating jobs and sustainable revenue streams for local communities. 🌟 Proud to be part of a team that's working towards a better, greener, and more resilient future. If you’re passionate about sustainable agriculture, renewable resources, or simply want to learn more about how Terviva is making an impact, check out our mission and ongoing projects at www.terviva.com. #InnovationInAgriculture #SustainableFarming #RegenerativeAgriculture #ClimateAction #Terviva #GreenTech 🌳🍃 Manju Kohli Simmar Pal Singh

Coexistence, cooperation, and co-learning are at the heart of successful regenerative farming. Regenerative organic farming teaches us to respect everything in nature—from microbes to animals, bees to birds, and soil to humans. Each has a vital role in the ecosystem. In nature, everything is interconnected, and nothing can evolve in isolation. Regeneration requires a holistic perspective. Together, we regenerate. As the saying goes, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." Let’s join hands, collaborate, and grow towards a sustainable future. #Collaboration #RegenerativeAgriculture #Sustainability #OrganicFarming #HolisticGrowth
We recently welcomed participants from six Regenerative Production Landscape Collaborative partner organizations to our Regenerative Organic Projects between 5th-26th September. Around 250 members from , Samarthan-Centre for Development Support, Development Support Centre ✅, AKRSP-India, and WWF-India/SRIJAN (Self-Reliant Initiatives through Joint Action) visited our farmers and projects, creating valuable opportunities for learning and collaboration. India's agricultural diversity, rich in Indigenous Technical Knowledge (ITK), offers immense learning potential. These visits helped us exchange innovative ideas and practices. The teams explored community nurseries, large scale Jeevamruth production, cow urine collection centers, biochar production, Organic Cotton Accelerator supported demo farms, and cotton seed trials across Petlawad villages. They observed community-driven efforts, women leadership, intensive multi-cropping, and cost-effective large-scale bio-input production. A truly enriching experience, demonstrating the power of working together to promote sustainable farming. SpectrifyAI illustrates how #AI can be a great help in creating a sustainable healthy food production system and a better future. Yesterday I was invited by Lakshan De Silva and Jeevan Gnanam to visit Hatch Works in #Colombo #SriLanka. Besides their company SpectrifyAI , there were a lot of impact startups doing great things. Great to see that countries like Sri Lanka “produces” passionate purpose driven entrepreneurs focusing on solutions that actually do create a better world through social and sustainable impact. Youngsters that see the impact of climate change, inequality and poverty every day intrinsically want to change the world for the better. Rightfully so, Hatch is supported by Tim Draper, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and others. SpecifyAI is the one to watch because their AI can change the food space in no time and not only in Sri Lanka but for the global agriculture industry and controlled evenement agriculture industry. Thanks for a great tour. #agriculture #horticulture #fmgc #innovation #futureoffood #food #sustainability #traceability #foodsafety #foodsecurity #logistics #taste #tastyfood #controlledenvironmentagriculture #farming #foodlogistics #logistics

#Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower." -Steve Jobs My learning from existing research in the #U.S. highlights that adopting innovative agricultural approaches can significantly enhance productivity, address climate challenges, and improve nutritional security. By integrating these modern practices with traditional farming values, we can create a more resilient and sustainable agricultural system that not only boosts yield but also preserves the rich agricultural heritage of #India. WHY INNOVATE? - For increasing yield & productivity, optimizing resource efficiency of inputs (water, fertilizers, and labor), resilient produce to withstand climate variability & most important the nutritional security. eg: Direct seeded rice studies suggest that #DSR crops to transplanted rice, 3–4 irrigations were avoided without affecting yield, tractor utilization decreased by 58%, and human labor reduced by 45%. Alejandra Castro Bayer HOW? -Collaborative Research: with US agricultural research institutions to learn about advanced technologies and methodologies. -Adaptive Research: Research can be adapted to local environments. Identify practices from the US that would fit well within India's diverse climatic and socio-economic contexts. -Incorporate Traditional Knowledge: Embrace indigenous farming techniques and local biodiversity and integrate it with modern techniques for enhanced results. -Policy Support: Encourage policies that support farmer-centric research and development, ensuring that both innovation and tradition are upheld. -Focus on Agroecology: Promote agroecological approaches that consider ecological interactions, local resources, and traditional practices while integrating modern scientific knowledge. Balancing innovation with tradition can pave the way for a sustainable and resilient agricultural future. From United States of America, I am eager to bring these enhanced approaches to sustainable agriculture back to India and focus mainly on #rural women farmers to make a meaningful impact on their communities. Let's Collaborate, Co-create & Conserve with scientific knowledge!!! Dr Sonam Kapse #USCONSULATE #india-uscollab #advisor #expert #sustainabledevelopment

With the global population projected to reach 9.7 billion by 2050, it's more crucial than ever that we find innovative ways to produce high-quality, nutritious food while minimizing our impact on the environment. At Agrisiti, we believe that urban agriculture is a key part of the solution. By providing access to smart, urban agricultural infrastructure and education, we can empower individuals and communities to take control of their food systems and create a more sustainable future. But it's not just about food - it's about people. It's about creating decent livelihoods and opportunities for economic growth, particularly for young people and women. It's about building resilient communities and encouraging a sense of connection to the natural world. At Agrisiti, we are on a mission to provide smart, urban agricultural infrastructure and appropriate awareness for urban dwellers to primarily aid the sustainable cultivation of high-quality protein foods whilst earning a sustainable living and also creating decent livelihoods for many people via agriculture.
