It was an incredible evening filled with laughter, great food, and festive cheer, as we celebrated the hard work and dedication of the talented individuals who make such a significant impact on our projects. It’s moments like these—where we can come together as a community—that remind us how important it is to recognize and appreciate the people behind the success. A lot of people here send me DMs asking for joining in positions in the party. I tell them that this is not like a Corporate Job where you apply, get interviewed then get hired or get paid. To rise in the party it takes years of perseverance and efforts, and good official positions come after that. There is no substitute for working hard and with dedication. A lot of us started off as volunteers and party workers and then rose through the ranks. This is more voluntary than any kind of employment that you have in the Corporate world. Working for the party is a great experience in itself and a great learning curve. If you are someone who loves Politics start volunteering with the party you love and keep working, the sky is the limit after that. No amount of Consulting work or corporate experience is a substitute to directly serving in the party which will teach you a lot more and make you grow.

With STEP, our Student Transitional Employment Program, young people like Adan gets to learn more about what it's like to work, build employable skills, and create connections in the community that can help support the goals they have in life. STEP is an eight-week program for high school students and focuses on occupational exploration, developing independence, and engaging in interviews. Over the summer - when STEP is underway - Adan was placed at Grand Street, among other places to learn more about being a chef, which is his dream. Although Adan is a young man of few words, he remarked "I really liked it." Proud of you, Chef Adan, and when the time comes, we are ready to make our dinner reservations! This morning i woke up earlier than my normal time 3am and had time to reflect on my journey in Bayport Financial Services. July i will be 13 years since the organization has trusted me with many roles over the years and i must say, it has been an interesting journey. My years with this organization are mostly paved by 5 dimensions of discipline i have lived by in my employment journey. It has been a bumpy road however my alignment with the Bayport values and my own way of doing things made it seem so easy and years felt like days. MY CUP OF TEA 5 Dimensions of my Discipline. 1. Time Management - respecting others time and planning ahead in all i do with my time in the workplace. 2. Talent - I realised early in my Career that talent alone wont get me to were i need to be but enforcement of my skills through education and information empowerment will open further doors. 3. Treasure - Salary without financial knowledge or education is dangerous as a result i spend most of my time reading through internal financial wellness communications that helps in making sure i understand concepts thats leads to wealth. We dont budget or understand simple financial concepts which is important and keeping some of us moving to the right direction. 4. Temperament - Bieng in different roles made me understand that Emotional intelligence is key when managing, client services and working with people in professional spaces. 5. Team work - We dont work or live alone in this earth or workspace and no one is so intelligent to not need help.
