Our new facility is nearing completion, with the installation and commissioning of the primary tyre recycling line scheduled over the next two weeks thanks to the efforts of the on-site team from Danish industry leader ELDAN Recycling A/S. The ELDAN Recycling A/S plant is a state-of-the-art installation, turning waste tyres into crumb rubber, tyre derived products and reusable high tensile steel wire. The Neerabup facility will be a first for Australia to include a “pre-shredding” process to enable complete on-site recycling of the largest “Off The Road” (OTR) tyres of the type and size used on massive haul trucks across the mining industry. The company has also purchased advanced rubber moulding equipment to produce a range of high-value speciality rubber products, including acoustic underlay and a range of rubber matting suitable for soft-fall flooring, equestrian surfaces, farm matting, gym matting, load restraint matting and other uses. What if waste could power our roads, sports facilities, and industries? It actually can, and we know how. At Tyrex Resources, we’re proud to champion the innovative recycling of tires, turning what was once waste into essential, practical solutions that benefit our communities and environment. ♻️ Recycled tires in road construction: Since the 1960s, tires have been used as asphalt binders, creating more durable, long-lasting roads while reducing tire friction and improving highway performance. 🏃 Sports facilities love crumb rubber: This ultra-robust material offers athletes cushioning that reduces joint impact, prevents shin splints, and stands up to all-weather conditions. Quick-drying and anti-freezing, crumb rubber is sustainable and efficient. 🔥 Tire-Derived Fuel (TDF): As the Environmental Protection Agency reports, 130 million tires are turned into TDF annually, offering an 8% cleaner and more economical alternative to coal. This benefits industries from cement production to electric utilities, cutting the need for fossil fuels. #wastemanagement #scraptires #tirerecycling

We recently supplied a cyclone for the first commercial scale up for a really innovative Portuguese-American company, BB&G. Used tyres are shredded and fed to a gasifier with 3 products as the outcome, in a perfectly circular process: 1. Syngas – that is used to heat the system directly; 2. Biofuel – with low Sulfur content and so high commercial value; 3. Carbon Black – rCB with low organic volatiles and so high commercial value. This project is aligned with recycling goals across the board in the tyre market, with Continental aiming to introduce at least 10% by 2025. Bridgestone and Michelin plan to use 30% by 2030 and Pirelli double that. Our high performance cyclone allows for maximum collection of the carbon black and simultaneous cleans the syngas. To face the 550C operating temperature, it was built in SS316L and insulated with mineral and rockwool under an aluminium cladding. #hightemperaturecyclones #HighEfficiencyCyclones #AdvancedCycloneSystems #Carbonblack #carbonremoval

Rubber Fender Disposal: A New Industry Solution from Trelleborg Marine & Infrastructure Are your old, used fenders accumulating in the port scrapyard? Let Trelleborg Marine & Infrastructure support you with sustainable disposal solutions, promoting eco-friendly port operations and advancing your journey toward circularity. Disposing of fenders at the end of their useful life has long been a challenge in the industry. Due to their large size and the difficulty of breaking them down for recycling, after-used fenders often end up in landfills—an unsustainable solution, as they are non-biodegradable and remain in the environment indefinitely. Trelleborg Marine & Infrastructure(TMI)has identified an innovative facility capable of breaking down entire fenders in an eco-friendly manner. Using Advanced technology broken or used fenders are placed directly into a reactor where high heat separates their components. The process converts rubber into combustible oil and recyclable carbon, which are repurposed for other rubber products, while steel components are reclaimed for reuse. With this breakthrough, TMI is now equipped to help clients sustainably dispose of their fenders, integrating them into the circular economy and reducing the carbon footprint of port operations. For more information on this sustainable solution, please contact your local TMI sales team or office. #Circularity #Circulareconomy #RubberFenders #endoflifefenders #Trelleborg

Watching recycling processes can be mezsmerising, much like gazing into a winter campfire 🔥. For example, this neat example of a Ballistic Separator separating by shape from our partner BRT HARTNER in a recent Eggersmann Anlagenbau GmbH MRF facility.....we particularly like the simple yet effective butterfly chute system for spreading the in-feed across the width of paddles..... BRT Hartner's range of ballistic separators are market leaders in terms of size, robustness & reliability. Give SKALA a call on +61 2 4905 0650 to discuss how these units can enhance 3D separation of recyclable materials in your operation. #Eggersmann #BRTHartner #recycling #resourcerecovery #wasteless #MRF
