O'siyo Nigada, I invite you to take part in the Indigenous Internationalisms and Border Crossings Summer Institute with Borders in Globalization from July 29 – 31, 2024. This hands-on, hybrid institute will examine the ways that Indigenous nations are expressing their relationships to lands and waters through complex diplomacies and forms of engagement, as well as their experiences with state border crossings. We'll have several guest speakers, including local knowledge-holders and leading researchers in the field. Come learn from Indigenous policy experts, knowledge-keepers, and academics as we explore these relationships and discuss different ways that Indigenous nations are practicing their self-determination through new forms of treaty-making, activism and diplomacy. We have partnered with the University of Victoria’s Faculty of Continuing Studies to offer our institutes as micro-credit programs. Students who complete three courses will receive a micro-credit in the stream of their choice. Micro-credentials provide ongoing professional development and offer a fast and flexible way to upskill or reskill and remain competitive in your industry. Limited seats remain! ⌛ Register now: https://lnkd.in/gFqczA5K Wado / thanks, JC
