𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗬𝗅 For our findings to be truly compelling for world leaders, we must involve people of the Commonwealth from all walks of life. This includes hearing from your colleagues, networks, and the communities you work with. Please consider reaching out to those with relevant experience or expertise in our priority areas: climate justice, health justice, and freedom of expression. Your views will be summarized and presented to Commonwealth Heads of Government when they meet in Samoa later in October. Together, we can make a powerful impact! 🌍💬 #CommonwealthVoices #ClimateJustice #HealthJustice #FreedomOfExpression #CHOGM2024

Context matters. Effectiveness depends on a deep understanding of and adaptation to complex local dynamics. 🌐 Read CDA’s article in the journal Development in Practice Journal (DiP) for a deep dive on complexity-informed action that integrates systems thinking and conflict analysis, based on adaptations of Do No Harm and Reflecting on Peace Practice. 🔗 https://ow.ly/vrbK50U29AX 🌍 We’re helping individuals and organizations navigate complexity, piloting an updated version of RPP to address peacebuilding challenges within the ever-changing context of climate change. 💚 This Giving Season, support our environment-fragility-peace work to help practitioners, donors, and more work within complexity with accountability and transparency. 🔗 https://ow.ly/5Rv550U29AV #GivingTuesday Dr. Stella Voutta Robert Bosch Stiftung

This is the Trump administration's blueprint for his next administration. If you are working in the climate sector - if you're involved at all in environmental and public health advocacy - read this and dig in. Data suggests we may have passed 1.5 degrees warming, and the setback of a second Trump administration would be catastrophic. We must accelerate progress in cutting emissions NOW, and a second Trump administration will accelerate climate catastrophe instead.
A Far Right think tank has created Project 2025, a plan to dismantle our democracy. The Heritage Foundation’s extreme initiative aims to centralize power, destroy checks and balances, and harm millions of Americans by attacking health care, education, and climate action. We must protect our democracy and fight against this authoritarian blueprint. https://bit.ly/3zN5MzA ✍️ Ben Jealous

At the Commonwealth War Graves Commission we're thinking about the future of commemoration, and today to mark #CommonwealthDay we published 'Commemorating the Past: Safeguarding the Future' setting out our thoughts on issues such as reaching new audiences, how we maintain a sustainable estate while meeting the challenges of climate change, and how to develop global partnerships with commemoration agencies and experts. https://lnkd.in/ekAkSqFz
🌏 Today is #CommonwealthDay – the annual celebration of the Commonwealth, a unique and diverse organisation. We are proud to have 'Commonwealth' in our title. Our global mission is to ensure that those who died in service or as a result of conflict are commemorated so that they, and the human cost of war, are remembered forever. With the world wars falling out of living memory, and facing the need to address challenges such as the impact of climate change, how do we and the wider commemoration sector ensure our missions are fulfilled as we move towards the second half of the twenty-first century? To mark Commonwealth Day we have published ‘Commemorating the Past: Safeguarding the Future’, a paper written by our historian Dr George Hay. Another #climateinvestor talk today. #notmycupoftea #notourscale #tooambitious (say what?). #yougetwhatyoupayfor but I find it increasingly questionable to see who calls themselves a #climateinvestor #impactinvestor #sustainableinvestor, though it explains why the #sdgfundinggap explodes and United Nations secretary general calls it #fartoolittlefartoolate.
