Dear Esteemed LinkedIn Colleague, Delighted to share our latest research paper, "A Quasi-3D Impedance Measurement Using the Square Wave Method with Parallactic Excitation for Detection of Biofilm Growth," published in IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement. This collaborative effort between SDU Health Informatics and Technology, Faculty of Engineering, University of Southern Denmark and Institute for Bioprocessing and Analytical Measurement Techniques e.V. marks a step forward in biofilm detection technology. A heartfelt thank you to Danny Echtermeyer, Marion Frant, Daniel Martin, and all esteemed employees of Institute for Bioprocessing and Analytical Measurement Techniques e.V. for their invaluable assistance and hospitality throughout this project. Special appreciation to Prof. Daniel Teichmann and Prof. Uwe Pliquett for their exceptional guidance and mentorship. Our study addresses the critical need for enhanced microorganism detection, particularly in healthcare settings. We introduce a method using the designed fast impedance measurement device that leverages time-domain analysis and 2D electrode arrays to provide quasi-3D resolution for real-time monitoring of Escherichia coli biofilms. For further insights, please feel free to access the paper here: https://lnkd.in/ddU-Qjyn #Research #BiofilmDetection #HealthcareTechnology #Collaboration #Gratitude #IEEETransactions #Impedance #Measurement #MicroorganismDetection #time_domain #ImpedanceMeasurement #Monitoring #Electrodes #Switches #Microscopy #RealTimeSystems #Health #Biomedical #Engineering

Is it possible to envision a future where biomedical engineering programs are all embedded in healthcare systems? - At University of Michigan the proximity of engineering and the health system is unique. There are tremendous benefits from going from - bench - to healthcare setting - to bench - so fluidly. - physicians have an outlet for problems and challenges - engineers have real world problems to focus on in their lab Is this the model transferable? Can we make it less unique? - Watch the full episode here: https://bit.ly/3XMSay2 - Amplitude Vascular Systems MassMEDIC Boyd Biomedical

Question for friends in Biomedical Engineering (specifically at LHSC) OR at LHSC in general: What’s one tip you would give to a person whose goal is to become a member of the team? 🙏 OR if you know someone who might have any information, could you send me a message or tag the person in the comments? 🙏🙏Thank you so much for your time in advance.
