🔬 A recent pre-print has been published on the long-term effects of rapamycin. This study is the first of its kind, where participants received weekly doses of 5 or 10 mg over 48 weeks and placebo groups for comparison. 💊 The results indicate that rapamycin holds promise in counteracting various aspects of age-related decline and enhancing overall health. Notably, the effects were found to be sex-dependent, showing the most benefit in women. 🙋♀️ The authors highlight that this is one of the first studies to present evidence that rapamycin can positively influence human longevity markers. They also stress the importance of individualized dosing to optimize outcomes. 💡 This research positions rapamycin as a potentially pivotal player in the future of longevity medicine—offering not just extended lifespan but improved quality of life. 💪 It is important to note that all these results come from a pre-print, so they might contain errors. It has yet to be evaluated by the medical community. Read the full article.👇 https://lnkd.in/d4VHPhGK #Longevity #Science #Health #Rapamycin
