🌟 Reflecting on an Exciting Hackathon Experience! 🌟 Earlier this year, in March 2024, I had the privilege of participating in the CIBIP Healthcare Hackathon, hosted by Yenepoya Technology Incubator and Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP). This was an incredible opportunity to collaborate on solving a real-world challenge blending engineering and healthcare innovation. Together with my teammate, we addressed a problem provided by Dr. Malathi M., at Yenepoya Medical College: “Developing a mechanical device to automate the process of mounting slides on a microscope stage.” We developed and presented a comprehensive conceptual solution to streamline microscope slide handling. #Innovation #Healthcare #BiomedicalEngineering #HackathonExperience #MicroscopyAutomation

Our Innovation Specialist, Camila Betterelli Giuliano, PhD, is visiting the lab of Federico Vozzi, one of the collaborators of the H2020 Project ALTERNATIVE.💚 With them, we have developed a microfluidic platform for long-term perfusion of cardiac cells, to mimic the effects of pollution on them. 💪 Our main goal is to develop equipment that truly fulfills researchers' needs so it's important to be close to where the action happens! 🎯 This week Camila helped solve some bottlenecks and got valuable feedback on how to make things run more smoothly.
