Do you know what The Kopp-Etchells Effect is? "In the stillness of the desert night, the sound of rotor blades slicing through the air breaks the silence. Suddenly, the sky comes alive with a breathtaking light display, like a thousand tiny fireworks igniting in unison. This mesmerizing phenomenon, known as the Kopp-Etchells effect, is both a visual spectacle and a poignant reminder of the harsh realities military aviators face." When history takes a backseat to mythology... So, here's the latest from the great land of historical revisionism! 🧐 The iconic photograph of the 1971 surrender, a testament to India’s triumph, has been removed from the Army Chief's office. Why, you ask? Well, in its place now hangs a *Mahabharata-inspired painting*—because, apparently, mythology *does* more for national pride than real historical milestones. 🙄 And of course, this isn't just an artistic shift. It’s part of a carefully orchestrated plan to rewrite history, where everything from the past is painted with a new brush—one that conveniently erases the legacy of earlier regimes. The 1971 victory? Old news. Let’s throw in some mythology and make it seem like *that* is the true reflection of our national glory. Isn't it truly a masterstroke? 👏 Eliminate the actual achievements of the past, blame the previous government for everything, and replace hard-won victories with epic tales. Talk about a game-changing approach to national pride, right? 😏 As Dr. Vijendra Singh rightly points out: “When you can't change history or have something stellar like 1971, you replace it with mythology.” Well, as long as we’re redefining history, let’s bring back the churning of the ocean, maybe even some flying chariots! Who needs reality when you can have *epic symbolism*? This isn't just about a painting—this is about erasing the past, one photograph at a time. If you’re looking for a lesson in political theater, this is your stage. 🎭 Let’s hope we can continue to *re-invent* history on such a grand scale. *Cheers* to a future where every achievement gets replaced with a myth. 🙃 #HistoryRewritten #RealAchievementsVsMyth #EpicReplacements #PoliticalTheater #MythologyOverHistory #BJP #SanghiStyle
Military veterans questioned the decision to replace the photograph from the 1971 war with the painting. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gEDqE7Z5

On bended knee this morning for our surviving World War ll Veterans… According to recent data from the National WWII Museum, as of 2023, only a small number of World War II veterans are centenarians and still alive, with estimates placing the number around a few thousand; this is due to the rapidly dwindling population of WWII veterans, with most being in their late 90s or older. Key points to remember: Less than 1% still alive: Only a tiny percentage of the 16 million Americans who served in WWII are still alive today. Median age is high: Most surviving WWII veterans are now in their late 90s. Centenarian veterans: While not a large number, there are a few thousand WWII veterans who have reached the age of 100.

Today, November 8th, is National Indigenous Veterans Day. While the exact number of Indigenous People's veterans is not known, they have defended our country in large numbers since our earliest days. Indigenous People's defended these lands even when not viewed as equals in society. This is one of the many reasons that we honour Indigenous veterans with a commemorative day specifically for them. Eldercare-Senior Care Sales Solutions Academy-Marketing, Business Development, Sales Training, Coaching and Accountability-Offering Entrepreneurial Opportunity-Veteran
Just boarded flight back to San Diego. As I entered the plane there sat an Elder Veteran. He had his hat on. I said quietly, “thank you for your service.” He quietly said back, “thank you.” The line to seat was at a stand still so I remained in front of him. He looked at me and said, “Thank you. We really do appreciate it. It wasn’t like that when we came home.” Folks, I don’t care if it feels goofy or not…please be sure to express your gratitude to our Nation’s Veterans…especially our Elder Veterans. Clearly the one today experienced Vietnam. It doesn’t have to be a big deal. Just a simple quietly spoken thank you. We owe it to them.

One of the most difficult things to do sometimes is find a unit for a WWII veteran. This can be especially difficult if you do not have your veteran's discharge paper. To help you find a unit, I have a new article on the World War II Research & Writing Center about places you may discover this information. https://lnkd.in/gHeTpgm5
