Slow down to speed up. This is the idea of working harder so clients can work faster. I’m not sure if we’re busier than ever or just more distracted, but looking back each year, it seems like there are way less meaningful stories than are in the news. In the fast paced world of digital media, it can be hard to determine the news that matters. The end of the beginning. Look TikTok is enshittifying its own apps in order to try to monetize it. And if it works, they will do it even more. Just ask Google Search, SERP page one is full of ads, sponsored links, nothing you asked for - why is still so shitty? Because it works for Google (just count the ka-ching), and you tolerate it; and we sometimes even click on the 1st page items enough that Google keeps doing it. I see high profits for TikTok in the next five years; and then the money is good but the growth plateaus, then the next big thing comes up.
