A memory to last a lifetime. Inspired by memories that last a lifetime, this scent was created by bluegr Hotels & Resorts CEO, Gina Mamidaki, to reflect the warmth of Cretan philoxenia, the inextricable connection with the local flora, the region's rich aromas, and as a homage to both the tranquillity and wildness of the sea. https://lnkd.in/gcJx_A57

“Look beneath the surface; let not the several quality of a thing nor its worth escape thee.” Marcus Aurelius Des was facing a dilemma. He was on the verge of launching his hotel online but an unexpected discovery had put the project on pause. ⏸️ I had been booked to shoot the interiors, but a week before I was due to turn up, he called to ask for my thoughts. 💭 When he bought the hotel, it needed only cosmetic changes. In fact, the entrance hall had a newish carpet fitted but when a chance remark from a visiting friend prompted a look underneath, he discovered a period tiled floor, probably original but in a sorry state. Did I think it was worth the extra time and expense to have it cleaned and repaired? 🪥🧽 To help him come to a decision, I sent him a few examples of similar properties I’d photographed. If the floor could be brought up to standard it could have a real wow factor. Des bit the bullet and got an expert in to restore it to its former glory. ✨ He’s glad he did as there is now a stunning entrance hall to greet guests and this image is the first thing visitors to his website will see. 💎 Small is beautiful. 🏛️ Why big is not the be-all and end-all in hospitality. Why do so many words for small have negative connotations? 🤏🏼 Words like; slight, bitty, diminutive, minute…. Pre-photo shoot, I often get clients apologising for how small their hotel rooms or holiday cottages are. 🌌 What is this obsession we have with space? It’s not the final frontier, there are a lot of things that are more important to your guests. Things like; cleanliness, location, amenities, style…. Almost everything in fact. 🏧 Space comes at a price and if you don’t need it, why pay for it? So if you’re promoting your rooms and properties, don’t be ashamed of being bijou. Own it! Think that your spaces would benefit from professional photography? Then let’s chat. Head over to my LinkedIn profile and book a call. I’d love to hear about your hospitality business. 📞 Are you promoting your REAL selling points? What is the usual pattern your guests follow when they arrive at your hotel? It probably goes something like this: check in, go to room, unpack, nap, then head downstairs to check out the bar and restaurant. 🛏️🍽️ Are the images on your website and social media reflecting the experience they’re going to have? That means as well as the usual room photography you need to add details - so-called hero images to show them what each stage of that pattern looks like. 🦸🏽 Things like soft or firm pillows, rainfall showers, complimentary items, set dinner tables and a well stocked bar. 🍹🍺🍷🍸 Lots of these features won't be visible in your wide room images so get in close to capture the details they'll love and let them live that journey online before they arrive! If you think that your spaces would benefit from professional photography, then let’s chat. Head over to my LinkedIn company profile and click the MESSAGE button. 𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞 #2: 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝, 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 In the world of luxury hospitality, how you present yourself is crucial. Every day, you should aim to look your best — whether that means having neat nails, well-groomed hair, or wearing clean and polished clothes. If you're in uniform, make sure it’s impeccable and wrinkle-free. When you take care of your appearance, it doesn't just make you feel good about yourself — it affects the way others perceive and trust you. A well-groomed, confident appearance creates a positive first impression, and in luxury service, first impressions matter. Guests will feel more at ease and trust you more when you present yourself professionally. So, whether you're in the luxury industry or any other field, always look your best. This small effort can have a big impact, both on how you feel and how others perceive you. #grooming #luxuryhospitality #guestrelations #guestservice #customerelations #Hotel #hospitality #groomingstandards

*“The biggest mistake hotel owners make with art—are you guilty?”* When it comes to decorating your hotel, art plays a bigger role than you might think. But there’s one mistake I see many hotel owners make—choosing generic, mass-produced art. It might seem like the easy option, but it can actually hurt your hotel’s image and guest experience. Generic art doesn’t tell a story. It doesn’t connect with your guests or make them feel like they’re in a unique space. In fact, it can make your hotel feel like every other place they’ve stayed in. On the other hand, carefully selected abstract art can make a room feel special, giving it character and helping guests form a memorable connection. Your hotel should stand out, and the art you choose can help you achieve that. By selecting custom or high-quality pieces, you’re showing guests that you care about every detail of their experience. It’s those small touches that can make all the difference! #ArtMistakes #BrandIdentity #HotelArt
