Behind the smooth handling processes are the #people with whom we are building the history of the terminal. We invite you to meet Saulius Norvilas, who has been working at our terminal for 22 years since 2002, almost from the very beginning of the company's establishment, when we started handling cargo at the Klaipėdos uostas/Port of Klaipėda. Saulius specializes in operating #cargo #handling #equipment, without which the landscape of #Klaipėda as a port city is unimaginable - harbour cranes. His profession is #crane #operator. "From an early age, I saw myself working only with machinery, so it is not surprising that my profession is related to it," says Saulius Norvilas, a crane operator at our terminal. We thank Saulius for our decades-long #friendship and wish him continued energy in our work together. Interview link with Saulius N. on the subtleties, challenges and responsibilities of operating machinery in the comments. #MIT #MalkuIlankosTerminal #profession #ourteamstories

Some of the towmaster's task include vessel inspection, walking the line of the vessel's anchor handling gears, tow procedures, crew and officers engagement in an interactive two way vessel briefing from the very top to the man on the decks. In the limited time we spend together, knowledge is imparted, rapport is built, respect is gained and given. Both parties speak and listen. I believe in Building a safe culture by crafting the people we meet one by one into a better version of themselves. If even one person gained something from the session that makes his life better, work safer, my work is done. Communication is a two way street. Lets ensure everyone is on the same page before we leave. My commitment is to everyone doing amazing in this project and going home safe. Let's work together.

🤷No team for today's work, said the teamleader. 🤷♀️Curiously, I asked why? 🤷And the teamleader explained that one client's project has been completed, with all the necessary documents signed. 👉Additionally, two other projects are nearing completion. 👉The team leader informed that an officer from one of our clients called and requested additional work to be done on the vessel for the next two days. 🧏♀️I said, 👉Inform the officer about our readiness to take on all the jobs mentioned, and request that they keep us informed ahead of time so that we can better plan our schedule. 👉Other clients' projects are also reaching completion, and it has become a daily occurrence for officers to add new jobs. 👉We have a well-organized schedule that is based on the jobs given by our clients, and we want to ensure that we can serve them in a hassle-free manner. #shipbuilding #shiprepairs #marine #marineindustry.
