C o n s t r u c t i o n P r o g r e s s The Didier Vaillant sports complex in Villiers-le-Bel is currently under construction in the Greater Paris area, France. The project is progressing with a strong emphasis on ecological integration and budget optimisation. Work in progress includes the installation of the three large volumes that will house the sports halls and a fourth volume dedicated to outdoor activities. The materials used, in particular alveolar terracotta brick for the walls and wood for the structures covering the rooms, will ensure the building's thermal and mechanical performance while respecting economic constraints. The site also follows a passive ecological approach, with solutions like façades that encourage natural ventilation. We work alongside the architects of bureau faceB, providing our expertise in structural engineering. #sustainability #structure #façade #france

📣✨ Exciting News from Cluster 04! 🔸Project Title:  H2ousing. Rive vive per una resilienza Corrente 🔸Project Aim:  In 2021, as part of the call for proposals titled “Prospettive urbane. Studi di fattibilità per la rigenerazione urbana,” promoted by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, the POLITO project team supported the city of Moncalieri in developing the project “H2ousing. Rive vive per una resilienza corrente”. This project focused on identifying large-scale systemic strategies and specific interventions that place rivers at the centre of the design. The aim was to create a strategic framework for developing green infrastructure that included new social living spaces with high-quality standards, as well as improved neighbourhood and community services. The masterplan integrates eleven distinct design interventions that propose scenarios for transforming both the urban and natural landscape, addressing the needs of both private and public areas.
