Here are some key highlights from the last 6 months: 👉 Market insights: Delphy addresses the crucial need for underground storage between 1 and 100 tons. 👉 Commercial readiness: Setting the stage for Delphy’s market launch in 2025. 👉 Safety innovation: Demonstrating Delphy’s safety advantages through detailed risk assessments. 👉 Looking ahead to 2025: Expanding Delphy's reach across Europe while upholding our agile approach within Vallourec's established framework. With its proprietary technology, the company processes spent li-ion batteries to produce a low-impurity Blacksand™ containing high concentrations of cobalt, nickel, and lithium. The company's inaugural processing facility, located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, is set to commence operations in 2025. 2024 marked an incredible year for CEV, as we continued to double down on finding and funding the technologies to mitigate gigaton-scale carbon emissions across the highest emitting industries. Looking back at the last 12 months, our highlight reel of milestones include: 💸 The close of CEV’s $305M Fund II, with a goal to mitigate 75 gigatons of emissions by 2050 ⚡️ Our first investments in hydrogen and lithium extraction technologies, with Ayrton Energy and Lithios, respectively  🌿 Not to mention additional investments out of our Fund II in Aepnus Technology’s electrolysis technology that enables the electrification of chemicals manufacturing, as well as Transaera, Inc.’s cooling dehumidification technology & Evari’s compressor and heat pump solution 🇬🇧 The launch of our first European office in London, where Dr Charlotte Kirk and Shanbor Gupta are leading the charge to expand our investments in European and Israeli companies  👏 The growth of our team across the US, including Elizabeth Pacelle, Saurabh Kumar, and Gabriel Place, and promotions within our team, including Yi Jean Chow and Victoria Martins   After a fruitful year, we can’t wait to see what’s in store in the new year! We are thrilled to share that our team from ORMAE earned the 2nd Runner-Up position at the Shell Hackathon! 🏆   Our challenge was to tackle the problem statement: "Fleet Decarbonization - A Transition Problem in the Mobility Sector." Given that professional, delivery, and operational fleets are significant contributors to global greenhouse emissions, balancing environmental impact with operational effectiveness is no easy feat.   During the hackathon, we developed a prototype that seeks to harmonize net-zero emissions with strong business performance. Using sophisticated mathematical models and the power of optimization, our solution provides a comprehensive approach to fleet management that not only meets yearly demand but also stays within carbon emission limits from 2023 to 2038.   Our tool uses detailed data on vehicle types, fuel consumption, operational ranges, and cost factors. We incorporated vehicles from three different drivetrains—Diesel, LNG, and BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle)—to create an optimal fleet composition that meets all supply chain demands while minimizing overall costs and adhering to strict environmental constraints.   A big thank you to Shell for organizing such an inspiring and challenging event, and to our team at ORMAE for their hard work and dedication. 2024 was a year to remember at OneSubsea! 🌟 🌎 During the last year we hit some major sustainability milestones. By adopting green energy tariffs and upgrading facilities for energy efficiency, we reduced our scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by over 3,500 tons of CO2. We are all excited by these early sustainability successes, many of which were recognized externally by both customers and regulators across the globe. What a great expression of our core value of caring deeply, and this all certainly serves to drive energy behind our net zero journey ahead. Alongside this, we continued to expand the frontiers of subsea technology by learning together, investing in new technology development and implementing new solutions. Some highlights include our new Oscilay manufacturing methodology, our first 20k SPS delivery, the Ormen Lange compression stations and introduction of the umbilical-less SWIFT service. 🌊But, above all, 2024 has been a year for delivering on exciting projects with partners across the globe, winning awards, attending industry events and continuing to push together for a sustainable energy future! 🤝A huge thank you to our partners, customers and employees for making the last year possible. Let’s continue to drive the new subsea era in 2025! 🚀 

Belgium is home to more castles per square kilometre than anywhere else in the world. At VARO Energy, we see our partnerships with our customers as our castles - strong, enduring, and built to last. This was celebrated during our biennial customer event last week outside of Brussels.   It was energising spending time with our customers and institutional partners. Their support is the foundation of our success. Belgium represents an important part of our customer base, with almost a quarter of the Belgian fuel consumption distributed through our 8 VARO terminals in this geography. The event highlighted upcoming changes in the energy system through interactive sessions. Topics included forward-leaning perspectives on regulation, insights across the biofuels value chain, and strategies to electrify commercial fleets. Given Belgium's significant logistics sector - more commercial vehicles per capita than in other VARO countries (source: 2023 new vehicle registrations, ACEA) - e-mobility is poised to play a crucial role. Partnering means sharing insights, and it was rewarding to reinforce the strong relationships with our customers. We look forward to advancing the Energy Transition together. Thank you for inviting me Zero Emissions Platform to share Northern Lights JV best practice and lessons learned on local support for CCS. Openness and transparency are at the core of our approach to stakeholder engagement. Summed-up I brought the following lessons learned to the table: 1. Choice of location: Look beyond the numbers for the excel sheet when choosing a location for your infrastructur. Does the project fit well into a community’s ambitions and plans? For us, Øygarden kommune and Mayor Tom Georg Indrevik has been of strategic importance. 2. Being able to, and prioritizing, receiving visitors on-site: Open and transparently share about one's activity and business to create better understanding of purpose. I am impressed with Sverre Overå and the Equinor TSP Team in Øygarden who continuously receive guests from all over the world. Over 9000 visiters have been to Øygarden from more than 52 countries. All, from the local school to industry emitters and politicians and ministers, are welcomed and being meet professionally. 3. Continuous, systematic and open dialogue with local stakeholders: Including politicians, administration and neighbours (private and business). Yes, maybe a bit obvious. But actually doing and prioritizing it is vital.
