Did you know? This crazy fact about pineapples 🍍 Day 4 of my (Pete) 🙋♂️ LinkedIn takeover and time to share one of my favourite pieces of studio work. When we wrote this concept and someone stupid (probably me) said: "it would be cool if we could make a pineapple explode with beer" We had no idea of the rabbit hole we had started down... ⚠️ Problem # 1 Pineapples do not come with tops. ☎️ So despite our beautiful storyboards depicting full pineapples, we couldn't find a pineapple with a top ANYWHERE. I was phoning the supermarkets who relayed me to their suppliers who relayed me to the importers. Turns out... you can grow a new pineapple from the top. So they chop them off and keep them on the farm. Who knew? 🤷♂️ In the end we created one from plastic leaves which actually worked with the style of the shoot. ⚠️ Problem # 2 Pineapples don't explode 🔪 Cue cutting out pineapples, rigging them with hosepipes and sticking them back together. Then I kindly asked Georgia Wales and Floriane Caillot to sit underneath a table and blow beer 3m into the air above their heads whilst I watched on from a safe distance. What a hero🦸♂️ Sorry team!! 🫤 ⚠️ So, if anyone out there has a shoot planned with pineapples - be warned! Really proud of the final result though. And yes, pineapple beer is amazing🍻 P.S. Disclaimer: I am not a qualified pineapple expert so this information I have been given could well be lies. Would love to know..

Our recent CBC Conference (Second prize) raffle winner requested one of the three Gin Posters as a printed poster sized copy. There are now over a dozen Poster sized PDFS - from beer to Rum to Whiskey that print out nicely poster size or viewable on screen with "PDF magnification" They have been highly requested so far (brewers, distillers, educators) and I am told better than an original Coffee map I based my original design on, and easier to work with than wheels. A friend re-created one of mine - a Kombucha Flavor Map he intially requested I do, using a neat piece of software that creates a Tube (Underground rail network) style map. See Ian Griffin's BOOCH NEWS on that topic. Adding distillation cut points and flavor descriptors along with training compound names adds much value to such maps. I always say "works in progress" as they change as new information beomes available or can be tweaked according to individual brewer/distiller needs and specifications. Its even been suggested they be made interactive. Clicking on terms to reveal more insights. I'd need help doing those type files. To learn more as to those available or to request a copy contact me anytime (Poster Request in Heading): gary@bdastesting.com #BDASLLC #BOOCHNEWS #GinFLAVORMAP #GIN #KOMBUCHA
