A very big thank you to everyone who attended, donated and sponsored Shepparton's 2024 Biggest Ever Blokes Lunch, and to all the event organisers and volunteers. The event certainly lived up to its name, with the most tickets bought since the event started 15 years ago. Thanks to an ongoing collaboration between Bowel Cancer Australia, Goulburn Valley (GV) Health, the Shepparton Biggest Ever Blokes Lunch committee and the Georgopolous family, funds raised will continue to support a dedicated specialist Bowel Care Nurse in the Shepparton region. Helping to increase bowel cancer awareness in the local community and improve bowel cancer outcomes by enabling residents to take a more active role in their bowel care treatment and care. Every year Redwood throws an annual charity event, making it a point to prioritize not only giving back, but to spread awareness for different causes and organizations that have touched or affected our coworkers & colleagues. Particularly, my team, Cash Us If You Can, has chosen to support RUNX1 Research Program (RRP), as a member on our team and their family has been impacted by RUNX1-FPD (familial platelet disorder). What is this you might ask? Medically it is a hereditary hematologic malignancy syndrome associated with a pathogenic variant of the RUNX1 gene. And you might also ask, what does that mean? It means that this pathogenic variant affects the stem cells that produce blood cells, which results in the following issues and complications: A lower count of platelets and/or platelet dysfunction, bone marrow deficiencies, various skin disorders, excessive bleeding & bruising, and an increased risk of getting cancer & specifically blood-related cancers. If you are able, please consider making a donation toward my team’s goal. No amount is too small. Also, please feel free to share this post so that we can all advance awareness and provide a healthier & longer future for every person affected. Additionally, this year our fundraising teams were able to choose individual organizations to donate to versus one organization that was selected company wide. So that means there are many other organizations available to donate to as well on the link below. Please check that out if you have time. Thank you!! ❤️https://lnkd.in/gYR_wSY3

The Eve Appeal is the leading UK national charity funding research and raising awareness into the five gynaecological cancers – womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal. We were set up to prevent gynaecological cancers and save lives by funding ground-breaking research focused on developing effective methods of risk prediction, earlier detection and developing screening for all of the five gynae cancers. We have played a crucial role in providing seed funding, core infrastructure funding and project funding in addition to campaigning to raise awareness. The world-leading research that we fund is ambitious and challenging but our vision is simple: A future where gynaecological cancers are a disease of the past.

Cancer sucks. And rare cancer is sadly & horribly not that rare. While one in three cancer diagnoses in Australia are rare or less common, they contribute to over half of all cancer deaths. Approximately 52,000 Australians are diagnosed with a rare or less common cancer each year – that’s one person every 10 minutes. Some 25,000 people lose their lives – that’s 69 people each day. On Saturday, 16 March 2024 I’ll be hiking to the top of Mt Kosciuszko to raise funds & awareness for rare, less common and complex cancers as part of the Rare Cancers Australia annual #KosiChallenge Every dollar raised will go towards funding: ➕ Personalised support, information and guidance ➕ Access to treatment, specialists and services ➕ Emergency funding for patients in need I hope to personally raise $1,000 to contribute to the Rare Cancers Australia goal of $750,000. I would love to have your help to do this! All donations are 100% tax deductible! Here’s the link. https://lnkd.in/gRK2G9B6

The Jim Carney Cancer Treatment Centre recently received a beautiful donation from a young patient. Michela and her sister started a small biscotti biscuit baking business and sold them at local events to raise funds as a way of saying thanks for everything the Centre does. "We are grateful to the Jim Carney Cancer Treatment Centre, including all their wonderful staff, for all they have done for us as a family and in particular for Michela," offered Veronique (Michela's mum). The generous donation will go towards improving the facilities or to help purchase the “nice to have” things that make a patient’s visit more comfortable. Health Fund PLUS is a partnership between Northland Community Foundation and Te Whatu Ora in Te Tai Tokerau, focusing on raising funds for projects that sit outside the scope of government funding. How to Donate You can give directly for something specific or contribute to a larger, much needed project. We can help to guide you if needed, by sharing what we are currently fundraising for that might be of interest to you. You can donate by: Making a one-time donation Creating a heath endowment fund, perhaps in your name or in the name of a loved one Setting up a regular payroll gift Instead of a birthday or Christmas gift, asking for a donation to your chosen fund. Donations over $5, made in your lifetime, qualify for a 33.3% tax rebate. Leave a gift in your will Did you know most people don’t have a will? You can take that step now, acting now for later, knowing you are making a difference after your death. ‼️INTERACTION WITH THIS POST CAN SAVE LIVES‼️ Like all of you who are reading this, my life has been directly impacted by the trials of cancer. I have watched countless individuals in my life go through the battle, including aunts, uncles, grandparents, close friends, classmates, teachers, members of my church congregation, and the list could go on. While some still battle, others are in remission, and others have been lost, I care deeply about limiting the impacts of this treacherous disease. I have decided to participate in the Pan-Mass Challenge, an 85 mile bike ride from Boston to Cape Cod, as a means of raising funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute with team L.E.K. Consulting. This is especially meaningful to me, because funds raised for this organization go towards treatment costs, not just towards general research. Your willingness to donate can have a direct impact on the lives of those affected, and I am pushing myself to a new physical limit to show support for those who are pushed to their physical limit without the choice. The ride is on August 2nd, and I have set the goal to raise $5,000. Every dollar counts, and 100% of donations go directly towards treatment costs and research at the Dana-Farbor Cancer Institute. Whether you are willing to donate, like this post, or comment for reach, I appreciate any of those willing to further this effort and support those who battle cancer. Learn more about the ride, why I ride, and how to donate:

Hi all, If you are still deciding on which charitable cause to make your donation before the end of 2024, look no further. Please support my #Movember fundraising. https://lnkd.in/g--DN9eX Two weeks into my 2024 Movember campaign, thank you very much to those who donated and supported our cause. Here are some updates from my side in these two weeks. - My Mo is growing, see attached photo - My company's team has raised $6018 on our way to the $9103 target - I raised $587 toward the $1550 target (I NEED YOUR DONATION) - I have walked 71km to date, surpassing my 60km goal - I exercised 3 times per week. In return for your generosity and support and to meet the fundraising goal, I pledge to walk 10km for every $100 donating to my page for the remainder of this fundraising, and I pledge to complete this by December 15, 2024. This means if I reach the fundraising target, I will be walking an additional 120km. I also pledge to exercise 5 times per week for the remainder of this campaign. You can donate to my Movember page below https://lnkd.in/g--DN9eX Or If you have other financial commitments but would still like to help. Share our pages to 10 people around you and ask for donations on our behalf. We are doing our parts, but we will need your help and support! We are raising much-needed funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. 43 men die from prostate cancer every hour. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men. Every minute, a man dies from suicide. Those are some powerful facts. But we don’t have to stay quiet about it. Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends need us to get loud. #movember2024 #movember #movemberfoundation #charity #mentalhealth #research #health #prostatecancer #menshealth #testicularcancer #canada

High performance trade solutions providing quality service to the | Aged Care | Corporate | Commercial | Residential | sectors.
*****CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO CHECK THE MULLET AND DONATE***** G’day LinkedIn land Hope your all thriving and basking in the final good weather this side of winter 🥶 My son Noah has a mullet that currently sits at 27cm in length and he has decided to after 3 years he’s had enough. We’re always looking for an opportunity for my boys to learn empathy we decided that we would donate his hair to someone. Resaerching away, Alopecia Australia came up in the search and we’re like mint… lets do that but under the search it had the worlds greatest shave further investigation was a must. We clicked on the link and said lets do that mate and raise some money for humans that really need it to help others. What an opportunity to create core memories around doing things in the service of others which can demonstrate the joy and fulfilment he can and will receive. Noah was quite hesitant around the idea so we watched YouTube videos of others raising funds for the Leukaemia foundation. In one video a beautiful year 12 student told her principal that she would raise $20k for the Worlds greatest shave!!! The Principals response was if you raise $20k I’ll shave mine with you. The young Lady raised $28K and watching the bond over having their heads shaved was incredible. https://lnkd.in/gPv_NnMm The power of video, Noah's apprehension and fear had been shifted, he was of to the races!! He has Now raised $3k in 2 weeks with the May 7th deadline approaching fast… If you can please donate through link attached and if money is tight currently which it is for most Australians words of encouragement and support go a long way for a 10 year old Big Love and thanks to you all Jonno #worldsgreatestshave #cancer #donate #empathy #love #charity #bloodcancer 😁

Savills IOW Charity Cycle Update With less than three weeks until our cycle, I just wanted to give you an update on the team's training and what this means to Macmillan Cancer Support, one of the charities we are specifically riding for and close to my heart. The team are training hard, some more than others, and we want to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated so far! Over the past year, the team has raised £8,828 for Macmillan Cancer Support - this incredible total would pay for: 1. A Macmillan nurse for over 7 weeks, providing essential practical, medical, and emotional support for people living with cancer and their loved ones. 2. 44 Macmillan grants for people living with cancer to help some of the costs that can come with a cancer diagnosis, such as having to take time off work or travelling to and from hospital appointments. 3. 420 calls to the Macmillan support line. Our new target for the cycle of £2,500 could pay for an additional 12.5 Macmillan Grants for people living with cancer. If anyone wishes to donate towards this great cause, it would be greatly appreciated, however I fully understand the challenges for everyone at the moment and therefore thank you for just reading this post. https://lnkd.in/ehxBBT5u We're looking forward to the big day and will be sure to keep you all updated in due course. #savills #projectmanagement #lopm #bpc
