Today I acknowledge and celebrate International Women’s Day. As eWater Group CEO, I am proud to lead a high performing, creative, and passionate team of software developers, hydrologists, international development experts, academics, and innovators who are committed to the pursuit of the sustainable management of water resources, nationally and globally. I continue to champion a diverse workplace and since becoming Group CEO in 2022, we have seen significant change across our workforce: Today, half our leadership team are women with female general managers leading both our operational divisions - eWater Solutions and the Australian Water Partnership. In 2015 eWater’s senior leadership was 100% male; today 85% of our leaders are women. This has had a flow-on effect to our wider organisation - 50% female representation in 2015 has increased to 55% this year. In 2021, all but one of eWater’s Board Directors was male. Although we have more work to do to increase Board diversity, our Board is now one third women. I believe a gender balanced and diverse workforce gives us a stronger, more creative, more insightful, higher performing team of experts dedicated to the sustainable management of water resources through the sharing of best practice, capabilities, and knowledge of Australian water expertise, globally.
