What I learned from Talent Stacker's Salesforce 5-Day Challenge: Day 3 I am already on my way towards my Admin Cert and Salesforce career. But I have to finish this series to share just how impactful the Talent Stacker | Salesforce Career Development Program FREE 5-day challenge is and the value it brought to my decision! Day 3 is all about how you will showcase yourself to your future network and potential employers via LinkedIn. There were a ton of takeaways that can help *everyone* improve their profile. Here are some highlights: Featured content is like flair for your LinkedIn profile. You can pin cool stuff here like short demos of your projects, certification announcements, and other content that you feel passionate about sharing with the world. Frequent posting means 1-3x per week. The more active you are, the more connections you will make. Aim for 99+ skills endorsements. Don't stop until you reach your goal! Give recommendations to get recommendations. A simple formula for your About section is 3 paragraphs: Salesforce, community/career advancement, and personal. KISS (Keep it simple, sweetie ;) I can't wait to connect with Bradley Rice so we can geek out over how valuable the Talent Stacker | Salesforce Career Development Program content is. P.S. Landing an entry level Salesforce job is basically pure luck at this point... Making $100k+ with less than 2 years of Salesforce experience sure is lucky... I hear misguided statements like this all the time. If this is sometimes how you feel when you see other peoples success then I encourage you to take a look at what luck is. Salesforce Luck Defined: - Working your ass off to get that certification even when you fail it the first 3 times and begin to wonder if you can do this. - Time away from family as they sacrifice to support you in this crazy new career journey. Skipped vacations to put funds towards cert exam fees and program costs. - Applying to 100+ jobs but not keeping count as the next application is the one that matters now. Keeping the mental game strong and staying focused even when self doubt is constantly knocking at the door. - Never stopping learning. Accomplishing one milestone just to immediately start on the next milestone. Seeing the light and continuously walking/jogging/sprinting towards it. - Seeing job descriptions asking for 2-4 years of experience and degrees, but trusting the process and ignoring the perceived requirements and putting their best foot forward every single time. Over and over again. - Showing up to interviews, being told no repeatedly. Preparing even more, shaking off the fear and using it as fuel. - Getting the job offer, questioning if this is even real until that first paycheck and computer arrives and realizing OMG I DID IT! Oftentimes not truly taking time to fully celebrate and moving on to the next goal. - Working the job, drinking from the firehose, while also working on another cert or joining another training program to further level up their skills and become even more valuable. We see the Certification post, we see the #JobLanded post, we see the anonymous post celebrating that they are now making $100k+... Please don't call these people lucky, call them STRONG, call them BOLD, call them BRAVE, call them RELENTLESS, call them DRIVEN. Recognize that these are those we refer to as "tough" when we say "when the going gets tough, the tough get going". Let's all aspire to learn from these "lucky" people.

The Salesforce job market in the USA is tougher than it was 4-5 years ago. But here’s the key: it’s not just about your skills anymore; how you present yourself is just as crucial. You could be a highly skilled Salesforce professional, but if you can’t clearly communicate your value or stand out in the right way, opportunities may pass you by. The market is clever, and companies are looking for those who know how to showcase both their technical expertise and their ability to make an impact. They say, "All good things come to an end." But that must not stop you from pursuing even better things? Oh well, it wasn't easy. But when has it ever been ... to step out of your comfort zone? Writing a post on LinkedIn after being in a hiatus for a good number of months feels different. I've been a passionate HR professional for several years. Then life happened and I had to relocate to a foreign country. A lot of revamps & reconsiderations took place. And now here I am with an announcement. "I am making a career switch." The world is rapidly evolving and you don't have a choice other than to evolve yourself with it. I have missed working; the pressure of delivering was something! When I moved to Germany, I didn't know what the future would hold for me. But never did I think that I would stop working. I am still nowhere near my goal but what I have is an ambition. And I know with persistence, I am going to get there. Getting back to my career switch, I am now pursuing Salesforce as my future line of career. Few months ago, I took Salesforce as one of those "rocket-science" things. But well, it's not that "rocket-y". The curious and inquisitive nature that I have align very well with the entire model of Salesforce. To be specific, I am pursuing the role of Salesforce Administrator as that is where I feel more inclined. And well, I was also able to complete the #Ranger level on #Trailhead by Salesforce. You see, slowly & steady, I'm getting there. :) While I am on my way to getting #Salesforce #Administrator certification, I look forward to getting hands-on experience with an internship or a beginner-level role. I would also love to connect with anyone who's on a similar journey and those who are already excelling at this. Can't wait to dive into the world of Salesforce and learn endless things!
