I have changed my mind on a lot of things as of today: - You should make million dollar decisions based on attribution; it's absolutely robust enough to do this. Do NOT listen to the math experts or data scientists who tell you otherwise. - At the end of the day, brand doesn't matter. What even is it? Come on. Nonsense. - Customer research is a complete waste of your time. - You should force people to buy how YOU want them to. You're a business after all! - "Positioning" is a word made up by consultants to make more money. You don't need it! - Marketing strategy is outdated. Why do you think ad tech is so successful? Come on, spend more and get more conversions to win! - You control most of the things that impact marketing's performance, so if you're not seeing success it's 100% because the marketing team is totally incapable. These are just a few, but the list goes on. #marketing #aprilfools #b2b #b2bmarketing

Ok let’s be honest, not ALL branding, marketing and advertising agencies are bad at sales but… Let’s say it’s you, a co-founder and maybe 1 team member, you have a firm client base and hitting good revenue but want to scale. What’s your biggest problem? Time. What do you do? Build systems and processes, you automate. Use these 3 steps: 1. Find out where your target audience hangs out: e.g Instagram 2. Create and Optimise accounts / an account for outreach. 3. Use tools and softwares to send out DMs and scrape leads. Boom, that’s one channel automated. Comment if you want an in detail breakdown. Namaste.

Just read Pinwheel Agency's newsletter, and love what it says about the marketing "funnel." Applies to sales, too: "...everything that goes into a physical funnel comes out the other end. A marketing funnel is more of a sieve with prospects leaking out in all stages. Second, it assumes a customer’s decision-making process is linear when in reality it’s haphazard. (If your marketing model fundamentally misunderstands the customer’s decision-making process, it’s time to get a new one.) Third, because “acquisition” is the metaphorically largest part of the funnel, it appears to have an outsized importance. For many businesses, engagement and retention is much more important. Fourth, the metaphor has a forceful, “push marketing” quality to it when practices have shifted to more patient, pull marketing approaches. So what’s the right metaphor?"

Two ways to spot a BAD marketer… ☝️They’re always talking about the channel, the metric or the tech they use (and they’re usually complaining about it all) ✌️You can’t remember the last time they talked about the people you’re marketing to. When you ask them to explain what’s important to your audience right now, they have no idea. They’re completely disconnected from your customers. I’ve been working with a client for the past 3 months and we had to throw their marketing plan completely out the window and start from scratch. Why? 🤔 Because it was a checklist of marketing tactics that were not based on any customer insights, or tied to the overall business strategy, or were planned to drive any real impact. Because marketing HAS changed ⬅️ Buyers are not going to come banging down your door because you have a monthly blog post scheduled with generic AI curated content that related to your industry, or that newsletter that’s full of boring information no one needs 🥱 Marketing used to be known as where Art meets Science. The majority of B2B marketing forgets the Art. Creative marketing is still what stands out, hands down 🙌🏻 And the good thing is… There are so few companies are doing it right, so you have a huge opportunity to differentiate. So go for it 🚀 Take the time to build your marketing FOR your customers - and don’t treat it like a checklist. Give me a shout if you need help. . . . #marketingstrategy #artandscience #customermarketing #growthmarketing #marketingconsultant

Marketing is no longer just about your website, running ads, and staring at dashboards all day. While these three elements are still essential to most marketing operations, it’s hard to find a competitive edge in them. Historically, B2B companies have been hesitant to invest in 'unscalable' marketing activities. They want an engine that runs 24/7 and can be scaled up with just a few clicks. Performance marketing had this promise. But in isolation, it delivers poor ROI. Especially in the context of long buying journeys. Creative marketing, on the other hand, takes time, effort (obviously), and rarely has predictable outcomes. But when it works… It works like nothing you’ve ever seen before ✨ Creative marketing is still hard to scale. But it’s definitely possible. One of the most effective ways to scale is by thinking in terms of 'recurring series' 🎬 Why is this approach a winner? ✓ It’s easier to execute consistently ✓ It creates anticipation with your audience ✓ It allows you to analyze best performing episodes So next time, when you’re done building your core marketing engine, start building awareness layers on top. This will help you cut through the noise. #b2bsaasmarketing

Here’s something most won’t tell you: A bad cold email can still book meetings—if the offer is irresistible. Forget the flashy stuff like Loom videos or catchy subject lines. The Offer is King. Here are 3 angles to focus on: 1️⃣ Save Time: "We’ll save your tech team 15 hours a week by eliminating communication silos." 2️⃣ Save Money: "We help marketing agencies cut acquisition costs by 15% in 30 days using XYZ." 3️⃣ Make Money: "We’ll increase your organic conversions by 12% in under 28 days." 💡 Pro Tip: Combine these for maximum impact. Then test them.

Marketing is responsible for the "glow," of a brand...however, data-driven Marketing is the business unit's way of contributing market demand, customer insights, industry changes and the buying landscape contributing to overall revenue. If the department can't show attribution to sales, it's not effective in my view. At WonderBotz Marketing and Business Development work closely together; it is the pulse of the growth engine and a barometer for an accurate forecast. The mark of a good marketing operation in 2024 #b2b: ✨ Social: impressions and glow ✨ Social: conversions and ads ✨ Email Marketing: activity and client behavior ✨ Email Marketing: conversions and replies ✨ Content Marketing: Education & interest measurement ✨ Video & Customer Testimonials: Empathetic prospecting ✨ Case Studies: Value stories What am I missing?

I've seen firsthand how the right approach can turn marketing into revenue machines. I've doubled companies ROI's many times, by tweaking just 1-2 things. Most companies leave money on the table with their ads. - But you're not going to be one of them. - Here's your game plan: 1. 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚. The magic is in the details. Fx. 89% of an ads success is in the creative. But test ad copy, visuals, & audiences to compound the effect. 2. 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆. Focus on revenue first, leads second. Track metrics from ads all the way to won deals. Lead volume alone, without lead quality doesn't matter. 3. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮. The numbers tell you a story. Dive deep into conversions, costs, and ROI. A͟l͟w͟a͟y͟s͟ t͟r͟y͟ t͟o͟ b͟e͟ d͟a͟t͟a͟-i͟n͟f͟o͟r͟m͟e͟d͟, but leave room for creativity. 4. 𝗕𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲. Iterative speed matters. Double down on what works, cut what doesn't, fast. The quicker you get ads from 0 > 1, the more revenue you get. 5. 𝗚𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. Marketing is an amazing field. But you should develop an interest in sales. The more you understand, the more you can help full-funnel. - This isn't just about better ads. It's about business impact and revenue. Become someone who optimizes e͟v͟e͟r͟y͟t͟h͟i͟n͟g͟. - Ps. if you want to 'shortcut' the A/B testing process, check out: https://lnkd.in/djSZfrJP
