Market size isn’t just a number—it's a dealmaker. VCs aim to deliver 3-5X returns to their investors, and that hinges on whether your startup can capture a significant market share. For early-stage founders, understanding market size is key. It’s not just about having a great product; it’s about convincing VCs that your business can grow within a large and expanding market. Investors often think— “Can this investment be a fund returner?” Curious about the math behind these decisions? Check out our latest blog linked in the comments to learn why market size is crucial and how it shapes both investment strategies and your pitch. #marketsize #funding #entrepreneurship

Early stage investors should own lots of your company???:)......Considering the end game target of founders is crucial when determining how much equity the first investors should get. 1. For founders aiming to build a billion-dollar company, it's wise for investors to take a small percentage initially. This strategy not only facilitates later-stage fundraising but also positions them for significant returns. 2. On the other hand, if founders plan to sell the company for £2 million, it would be inequitable for investors to invest at a £1 million valuation. Understanding the long-term vision of the founders is key in structuring equitable and strategic relationships between founders and investors. #startup #investing #founders #equity #entrepreneurship

Raising 1st investment round is the HARDEST and here’s why: It’s not because you don’t know how to pitch It’s also not because you still haven’t figured out how to find or engage investors. It’s because you don’t have the support of the previous round investors. When you raise your 1st round and deliver on promises, your investors become your supporters on the next round. -> They either invest in your next round or -> They make introductions to other investors However, investors need to feel comfortable making introductions. And that’s YOUR job to do. You should demonstrate your execution skills, trustworthiness and reduce perception of the risk so that they introduce someone else to you. So if you’ve raised your first investment, make sure to: -> Regularly update your investors -> Be transparent in what’s going on in the business -> Do your best to show you’re fully committed to building the business Investors are generally smart people so they’ll see when you work hard and are not going to give up. — ♻️Repost to share with your network Follow me Tornike Asatiani for more #startups #entrepreneurship #InvestmentStrategy
