🌟 Bringing Lorie’s Lounge to Life Through Brand Identity Design 🌟 Excited to share my latest project: creating a vibrant brand identity for a concept bar and lounge, Lorie’s Lounge, set in Charlotte, NC. From the visual elements to the mood, the goal was to capture a lively, upscale atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and approachable. The primary logo features two golden champagne bottles clinking—a bold choice that combines elegance with a playful touch. This unique design choice is memorable and sets the tone for a space where guests can enjoy a high-energy experience. The brand identity was extended into detailed mockups, including coasters, beer glasses, menus, employee uniforms, and merchandise, giving a full picture of what Lorie’s Lounge could look and feel like for customers. This cohesive approach helped establish a clear color palette and aesthetic that would resonate across all touchpoints of the business. But brand identity is more than just logos and colors; it’s about storytelling. For Lorie’s Lounge, that meant creating social media assets and event flyers for weekly specials like Thirsty Thursdays and Sunday Brunch. These elements support a content strategy to position the lounge as a go-to spot for memorable events, expanding its reach and engagement. A Pineapple. Really? Now, what has that got to do with hospitality branding? Today, I came across a video of a British gentleman who was talking about how 'the pineapple' used to be a very rare and exclusive commodity in the late 16th century. Apparently, it was used as a classic symbol by sea captains to signal their safe returns from their voyages by placing one exotic fruit outside their homes. This would invite people to share their stories. Soon, this fruit became a popular host accessory, that people even began renting one to demonstrate their appreciation for their guests and impress them. This historical tidbit got me thinking about the power of hospitality. It's more than just providing a service; it's about creating memorable experiences. Just like the pineapple, a warm, welcome and personalised service can make a lasting impression. As brand designers, we have the opportunity to craft experiences that resonate. By understanding the nuances of hospitality, we can create brands that are not just functional, but truly timeless. Today, the pineapple continues to inspire. It can be through a subtle reference in a logo or a bold statement in a pattern, this fruit can elevate a brand's identity by acting as a reminder that great design isn't just about aesthetics; it's about storytelling. Throughout my professional journey, I've always believed in the importance of aligning myself with projects that share my core values. This philosophy led me to work with an extraordinary wellness and retreat center, where I provided: BRANDING / SIGNAGE / EDITORIAL DESIGN services. This truly magical place is designed for self-reconnection, nestled in an environment that celebrates communion with nature.  Established in 1999, it offers a pathway to deep healing, where diet, relaxation, and meditative practices are just the beginning.  The center focuses on self-exploration, lifestyle transformations, and breaking through energetic patterns that veil our purer instincts. For the duration of the project, I: - Conducted an on-site evaluation to assess and identify strategic points to implement signage and facilitate easier movement for patients and visitors throughout 1 hectare of the facility’s spaces. - Implemented for each one of the signs accounted unique elemental conditions and materials. - Designed editorial objects as part of institutional stationery and brochures. With the ability to arrange content for maximum impact and clarity across the formats that were needed. - Created additional brand identity collateral such as stationery, key fobs, and towels to normalize brand experience across the entire facility.
