Is your child's silence the loudest sound in your house? One of the biggest hurts a child can experience is not being heard. It’s so easy to miss the little moments when our children want to connect. We might think it’s not a big deal. But to our children, it is. When a child stops talking, it means more than just silence. It means they no longer feel safe sharing their feelings or thoughts with you. That silence isn’t peaceful. It’s a sign that they’re shutting down. Once they shut down like that, it’s really hard to get them to open up again. Listening isn’t about fixing their problems. It’s about showing them that you care about what they have to say and that it’s okay for them to be themselves around you. When we don’t listen, we’re essentially telling them that their thoughts and feelings aren’t important. So they adapt and they learn to keep those feelings to themselves. 😢 #ParentingAwareness #ListeningMatters #ChildhoodConnection #SilentStruggles #EmotionalGrowth #ParentChildBond #CommunicationMatters #ParentingTips #BePresent #MentalHealthMatters #SupportOurChildren #EmotionalSafety #ParentingWisdom
