Yes, your inbox will recover from the crushing weight of all the solicitations you’ll receive today, Giving Tuesday. It will be a day of eye-popping donation matches and urgent pleas. And yes, my image of a 44X match was just a little satire (plus a nod to my alma mater, Syracuse, after their big win last Saturday). As you decide where to direct your generosity today, please consider the bold and forward-thinking organizations that don’t just provide services but also leverage advocacy to advance their mission. From cancer and Crohn’s disease to hunger and equality, these organizations will spend the next year defending against devastating funding cuts to federal programs and the rollback of regulations that could hurt millions of people. Your gift to these organizations isn't just charitable giving – it's an investment in lasting change. While immediate relief is a crucial and worthy investment, advocacy work ensures we're also addressing root causes. That's the kind of multiplication effect that truly matters today. #grassroots #advocacy #digitalstrategy Rubenstein Impact Group, LLC #GivingTuesday Grady Health Foundation Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Fight Colorectal Cancer American Heart Association The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Every July, we raise awareness about sarcoma and bone cancer. Sarcoma is a rare cancer affecting soft tissues, while bone cancer targets the bones. Both have a significant impact on individuals and families, making awareness crucial. 🎗️ Sarcoma and bone cancer can affect all ages, including children. Recognizing symptoms like persistent pain, swelling, lumps, fractures with minimal trauma, and unexplained weight loss is vital. If you or someone you know has these symptoms, consult a healthcare professional. Supporting those affected is key. Organizations and advocacy groups provide resources, support networks, and funding for research. By fundraising, volunteering, or sharing information, we can make a positive impact. Let's spread the word about Sarcoma and Bone Cancer Awareness Month. By raising awareness and supporting research, we can inspire hope and make a difference. 💜🤗 Learn more and donate at jsf.org.au/donate 💜 #sarcoma #sarcomaawarenessmonth #jsf #jennysourisfoundation #awareness #love #care #kindness #compassion #givehope #embracinghope #embracehopetogether #together #foundation #charity #dogood #donate #sydney #australia

October 26th, 2024 - Day Twenty-Six - Week Four 🎗️ Breast Cancer Awareness Month ✨ Make a Difference Day is celebrated annually on the fourth Saturday of October and promotes community service and volunteerism. If you have ever wondered if your actions can make a difference, the answer is yes. And if you have wondered where to start, the answer will always be today. There is tremendous value in making a difference, especially in providing comfort and resources for others. Au Naturel Solutions Inc. is making a meaningful impact as a mission-driven business, and encourages us to come together to volunteer, raise funds, donate, offer support, and learn about the most urgent needs of our community. Keegans and ECD had a great time for a wonderful cause Monday evening at Mark & Geeta’s World Child Cancer Christmas Ambassadors Quiz, coming a very respectable fourth place! Sponsored by AD Construction Group, the #WorldChildCancer Ambassadors Christmas quiz (which this year raised £40K) has come to herald the start of the holiday season and is a brilliant social event blending fun, networking and a shared commitment to a vital cause. The mission of World Child Cancer is to improve the rate of diagnosis, accessibility of treatment and quality of support for children with cancer, and their families, in the developing world. Over 400,000 children develop cancer worldwide each year. Most of these children live in developing countries where survival rates can be as low as 10%, compared to 80% in high income countries. Thousands of children are dying unnecessarily when they could be treated or cured. World Child Cancer is dedicated to addressing the disparity of cancer care for children across the world. They believe that every child, no matter where they are born should have equal access to the best possible treatment and care. To learn more about World Child Cancer and how you can help or donate, visit the World Child Cancer website: https://ow.ly/Nva550Uc4VU #WorldChildCancer #ChildhoodCancer #CancerAwareness #CharityEvent #HolidaySeason #SocialImpact #Fundraising #XmasQuiz

A little bit more than a year ago I joined NMDP as a Bilingual Donor Engagement Specialist. My goal is to connect donors that are part of the registry with patients with cancer once they match. I’m incredibly proud to share that 29 people I’ve spoken with have donated bone marrow or stem cells, offering children and adults battling blood cancer a second chance at life. Their selfless actions bring renewed hope to families and highlight the incredible difference we can make when we choose to help others in their most critical moments. Be the Lifeline Someone Needs: Donate to Save Lives Every three minutes, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer, and for many, a bone marrow transplant is their only hope. Your generous donation can make that lifesaving connection happen. Here’s how your gift can make a direct impact: $150 helps add one potential donor to the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) Registry, giving patients a fighting chance. $200 provides one month of transportation for a patient to and from their transplant clinic. $500 secures a week of temporary housing for patients and their families during transplant recovery. $2,000 covers a Transplant Recovery Grant, easing financial burdens for families after the procedure. No one should have to face the hardship of cancer alone. Your kindness can bring hope, comfort, and strength to someone’s journey. Help us make saving a life a little easier for patients and their families. Donate today, because every second counts.

A few weeks ago, I shared a bit about my son Jude, who was diagnosed with retinoblastoma (eye tumor) at 9 months and endured three years of chemo, radiation, and laser therapy before having his eye removed shortly after Christmas 2022. Today Jude is cancer-free and happily adjusted to life with a prosthetic eye. I appreciated all the outreach and love after the post; admittedly I’m hesitant to blend too much personal in with the professional, and as you can imagine it’s hard to find a way to bring up subjects like this one. Now, however, our family is blessed to have Jude’s cancer behind us and we’re eager to join the fight in raising awareness and funds for childhood cancer research and support. We know first-hand the life-saving impact that well-supported doctors, hospitals and researchers can have in the lives of patients and their families. With that said, I’m excited to say I’ve joined the Advisory Council with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a phenomenal organization whose mission is to change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. If your business is looking for a charitable cause to support, Alex’s Lemonade Stand is a wonderful option that has a very real impact on childhood cancer patients and families — an impact I can attest to. And they offer custom partnerships for restaurants or any business interested in raising awareness and funds for the fight against childhood cancer. For more information on getting involved, DM me or click here: https://lnkd.in/dKVikAse By the way, this picture of Jude is from almost exactly a year ago: It’s the first picture with his new eye. See if you can tell which one it is. Countdown to Impact: 5 Days Left in the April Head and Neck Cancer Alliance Move-a-thon 🏃♀️🙏 As the sun sets on this pivotal month, our shared journey of compassion and support takes on a more urgent pace. There are just 5 days left to contribute to a cause that’s much more than a statistic; it's a lifeline for those battling head and neck cancer. I set out with an ambition – a concise, yet significant goal of raising $150 through the Move-a-thon. This sum symbolizes hope – the equivalent of a night at a hotel for a travelling patient or easing the burden covering some essentials on treatment day. Each donation is a beacon of comfort, providing essentials like a gas card, parking, lunch, and sometimes the priceless gift of child care. While the road ahead is paved with possibility, the present moment reflects a challenging truth. I currently stand at 83% of my fundraising target. "The distance between where we are and where we aspire to be is measured not in miles but in moments of generosity." I humbly ask you to consider the value of your daily coffee – could it instead fund a gesture of immense value? A few dollars could mean the world to someone enduring the most challenging fight of their life. Together, we can fill these last few days with action and purpose. Let's rally to offer more than just relief; let’s provide a sanctuary of support for at least one patient in need. To donate, simply click on the link https://lnkd.in/e_d95i2c Your contribution, no matter the size, will weave into the tapestry of someone’s survival story. Let's make these remaining days count! Thank you for standing with me, for them. #HeadAndNeckCancer #HNCA #Moveathon #Support #Donate #CancerCare #MakeADifference
