Internship season is over! Ab kya? Haha, I know most of you are thinking ki Internship Season to khatam, ab kahan internship milegi? Well, let me tell you that there is no such thing as INTERNSHIP SEASON. We have given this term to ourselves just because we prefer to do internships during our summer vacations, hence Summer Internship. But that doesn't mean companies don't hire interns before or after this period. I did my internship with Tata 1mg in September (post-summer break). I did my Grant Thornton internship from February to April (pre-summer break). Hence, don't feel shattered if you didn't land an internship this season. If you can manage:  - Academics  - College Classes  - Attendance by doing an internship side by side, then you can get an internship anytime you wish to. There are many firms that offer hybrid setups, and if you are interested in HR roles, there is an option for remote setup as well. Thus, make a plan on how you are going to manage both college and internships and keep the hustle on. Well, yesterday someone got into TATA 1mg. If he can, you can too. Trust the process. Internships. What comes to your mind when you think of one? Low-value, no-impact work that exists just for the sake of existing. And that's exactly what I thought would be the case for my internship at Unilever. But, boy, was I wrong. I was given the privilege of working on real projects - creating impact for the company: financially, safety-wise and whatnot. I had the liberty to identify problems and solve them. And that IS what I did for one of my projects (even though the project didn't see the light at the end of the day, it paved the path for moving forward). Throughout this experience, I never once felt like “just an intern.” I was trusted to work independently, contribute meaningfully, and was treated with respect every step of the way – something I’ll never forget. Sure, I learned a lot of technical skills along the way, but I learned one important lesson. If you trust someone with real responsibility, they will achieve incredible things. While sipping my evening coffee and sorting through folders on my laptop yesterday, I came across my internship photos. I see a constant debate about whether internships are worth it or not. Here are my two cents: When I look back at my internship days with The Coca-Cola Company, I realize that it has given me so many memories to cherish alongside the experience to work in a big team. During an internship, professionals guide and shape you to push your limits. As a result, you learn to step out of your comfort zone. And most importantly, you get to experience what working in your field would be like. For me, the additional benefits of the internship were obtaining genuine references and mentorship from the industry's top leaders. I would highly recommend internships to students as internships provide a smooth transition from college to corporate life, help build new connections in the workplace, allow you to learn more about yourself, and increase confidence in what you do. #learning #experience #LinkedInlearning #internship #students #internshipexperience

Let me share my Panasonic internship experience today Honestly, when you are working at a big MNC as an intern, that too, at an undergraduate level, the probability that people will take you seriously is too less! -> You aren’t their employee who’s on a pay-roll -> You aren’t someone who is there for a long term -> You aren’t someone who will adapt to their culture in a month or two Still, they will treat you nicely, but that’s not enough if you really want to add some value and make that experience count. You have to go an extra mile, seeking to work by showing your interest and constantly proving your reporting manager that you are willing to put in more. I’m thankful to my manager to trust me as a result of which, I was exposed to the consumer market trends and how to conduct competitive analysis. You ought to take that first step because the days are gone when you used to be spoon fed! The only mantra that works here is :- ASK for it -> WORK on it -> DELIVER results #internship #experience #mnc

Internship season is back! Always great to meet with all these bright and energetic interns around this time, and it’s impressive both for meeting these amazing young talents and also seeing the commitment that the companies put in grooming them. If you are in an internship program right now, my best advice for you would be: “Don’t act like an intern!” Be so proactive and mature that people regard you as a full-time staff instead. That will be the best way to establish your personal brand and leave your employers with a great impression. I believe nowadays getting into a great internship program is as competitive as getting into a trainee program.
