Anti-Palestinian racism and decolonial resistance. You can listen online to the discursive part of Grounded, which took place in Ljubljana between 22 and 24 August 2024. It is dedicated to anti-Palestinian racism and decolonial resistance. The discussions are connected to actions of resistance. On the axis of reflection and action is the individuation process, where peace is putting an end to apartheid, settler colonialism, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza and occupied Palestine. https://lnkd.in/egF_xqQC

The decades-long conflict between Arabs and Jews is not just about territory—it’s about identity, history, and deep emotional scars. Any lasting solution requires addressing the core narratives that both sides hold about their own legitimacy, rights, and futures. What remains clear is that continuing on the same path of violence and political stalemate will only perpetuate suffering for both Jews and Arabs. Radical changes are needed, both in the region’s leadership and its international handling. At the heart of these efforts must be a shift away from religious extremism and tribal divisions, toward a future that emphasizes cooperation, shared prosperity, and human dignity for all citizens, regardless of religion. It is a monumental challenge, but not impossible. Incremental progress, supported by international actors and regional powers, could finally break the cycle and offer hope for a peaceful and dynamic Middle East.
WATCH: At the LA Remembers ceremony, Mayim Bialik, Jewish actor, shares some of the insights she has gained during the challenging year the Jewish community has faced since the October 7th Hamas massacre in southern Israel. 🇮🇱🎗️
