This week was the Digital Health Week. A week full of great collaboration and insights from the Organizations, but most importantly from the individuals who make Digital Health possible in the world and in particular in Africa and, it’s Africa is where some of the most important conferences took place, specifically in #Kenya (a country that love so much, and respectfully call Nyumbani). Unfortunately I couldn’t attend any of this events but in the background, as good Helthneer, I continued pushing for the advance of Digital Health in Africa and the world. 📝 Discussion Recap: Safeguarding Health and Security in a Digital World  We had an engaging and insightful conversation on safeguarding health and security in our rapidly evolving digital landscape, guided by our distinguished panel. During the session, we covered: •   Lessons learned from Malaysia, Ethiopia, and Brazil in implementing their National Digital Health Strategies. •   The importance of global standards and guidance for Digital Health (DH), emphasizing the need to adapt them to national realities •   Limitations of AI solutions as a universal fix for healthcare challenges. •   The ongoing need to continue investing in low-tech solutions for contexts with poor digital infrastructure. Dr. Rokho Kim, Strategic Consultant at WHO, on behalf of the Department of Digital Health also presented key insights into the Digital Health Strategy and Initiatives. Very interesting for Didida Digital Health Africa ! We have two partners from Uganda in our consortium: Uganda National Health Research Organisation UNHRo and the Ministry of Health. Didida is creating a digital health solution to diagnose multiple diseases at a time and we will partner with the Ministry of Health of Uganda to test it at a national level. We are very happy to learn that Uganda is setting up this national health data warehouse. We hope to be able to be a user!

Today I had the pleasure to participate as the romanian representative in Copenhagen, Denmark at the WHO Health Information Network (HIN). Romania health system information is necessary to deliver high-quality care. So let’s #DigitalHealth in Romania. Together with the European Commission, WHO have launched the #HealthInformation Network. Created for and by the 53 Member States of the European Region, Romania included, this network is working to improve health services for nearly 1 billion people in the region. “Kazakhstan has a huge potential in #DigitalHealth development.” To fully leverage digital solutions for health, countries need high-quality #HealthData and strong health information systems. The Health Information Network was launched by WHO/Europe with the EU funding support to help countries unlock this potential together.
