LASAI Solar Electric Boats expend distribution network in Spain, Switzerland and Hungary. The solar electric boat company, LASAI, continues to expand its sales network to new countries. In its third participation in the Boot Düsseldorf boat show it has closed three new distribution contracts covering northern Spain, Hungary and Switzerland. Yates y Cosas will be the new official LASAI distributor in the Spanish regions of the Basque Country, Cantabria and Asturias. In the center of Europe, an area with large inland waterway navigation areas, LASAI closed agreements in Switzerland and Hungary. In Switzerland, the boats will be marketed by Out of the box/Helbling while Adex yachting Kft. will run distribution for Hungary. These new distribution agreements shows the growing interest in sustainable boating and solar-electric technology in Europe. LASAI, with its range of boats offering up to 15 knots of speed and over 100 nautical miles of range, is well positioned to meet the demand for eco-friendly boating solutions. LASAI's expansion matches a time when the boating industry is actively seeking more sustainable alternatives. With each LASAI 20 boat, one ton of CO2 emissions are avoided annually. LASAI is making a significant contribution to reducing the environmental impact of the marine industry. #YatesyCosas #Outofthebox #AdexYachting #Distributors #LASAIboats

Although this shows the potential of electric boating for some, this also shows the consumption of energy needed for such speeds. Our highly efficient electric daytenders make only a limited speed of around 4,5NM/h, which is above maximum for our Dutch inland waterways, but doing so we can make 27 nautical miles with one 4kWh battery. The 6 times higher speed consumes, in this example 27 times the amount of energy needed. I highly respect and appreciate the potential of this technology but if we really care about the environment we should focus on efficiency and behaviour first and performance second. https://lnkd.in/e-g4h_Tz

Perhaps too silly for LinkedIn, but it's the weekend... Solar electric yachts are like the introverts of the motor boating world – silently soaking up the sun's rays while everyone else is making noise with their engines. #electricyacht #yachtelectrification #cleanenergyboats #sustainableyachting #electricboating #greenyachts #electrichybridyachts #yachtinnovation #renewableenergyyachts #electricpropulsion #zeroemissionyachts #ecofriendlyyachts #electricmarine #yachtingfuture #environmentallyfriendlyyachts #electricboattechnology #batterypoweredyachts #emissionfreeboating #electricyachting #yachtingindustry #marineelectric #electricvessels #electricboatdesign #yachtlifestyle #sustainableboating #electricboatrevolution #greenboating #yachtengineering #electricmarinepropulsion #cleanboating

Enjoying summer boating with my family, I’m reminded that building a brand, turning a profit, and securing the legacy of our oceans and lakes don’t have to mean compromise. At X Shore, we're reframing the boating category with sustainable performance, seamless technology, and responsible production. A big thank you to our #ambassadors, #customers, #dealers, #employees, #investors, and #partners for their dedication to our shared mission: making sure that boating can become one with nature. Did you know? The marine sector in the #EU generates around 144 million tonnes of CO2 annually. An average 8-meter boat uses as much fuel in a day as a car does in a month, with 30% of fuel from diesel and gasoline-powered boat motors ending up in the water. Let's change that together. #Sustainability #Boating #Environment #XShore

Fairly certain there's more that that in the UK, BAR Technologies for a start, and Many others in the electric/autonomous vessel sector - Commercial and leisure.
In many ways Europe is the epicenter of electric boating. With strong political incentives, and cultural preferences, every coastal country contains a company or several producing electric boats or propulsion systems. It's also interesting to observe the cluster of companies that populate the Alps mountain range. Electric boat companies from France, Switzerland, Northern Italy, Austria, Slovenia, and southern Germany all contribute to preserving their pristine mountain lakes with clean and quiet electric power.
