Exhibitors have PAID good money for a stand to promote their business. And then what happens? A handful of visitors show up trying to sell their business to the paying exhibitors. 🤦♂️ It’s disrespectful. It’s unprofessional. It’s a slap in the face to those who’ve invested to be there. We need to stop this! 🚫 One solution? Make it clear from the start. No unsolicited pitching allowed. Enforce it with clear signs, reminders, and staff on the floor. Nearly two months ago, we hosted our big annual event in Nashville! It was great to see so many members of our community there. Well last week was a BRILLIANT write off! There wasn’t a day I wasn’t on the road/rails ❌ This was the only picture I managed to snap, whilst running for my train to London attending Day 2 of The Business Expo at 4am. 😴 Yes, it was a trip back to Swansea after Day 1 for an evening event, which added to the craziness of the week but got a free upgrade to 1st class which was delightful! Free coffee ☕️ So worth it right? I have to say, I’m not normally the biggest advocate of events but this was really good 👏 Well run and good selection of attendees, lots of high-intent buyers. Here's my biggest takeaways from the event 👇 → Your offer is so important (It’ll make or break an event) → Make it obvious what people will gain by speaking to you (We nailed this) → Get something audio/visual on the stand (We didn’t nailed this - the people opposite did, they had a wheel of fortune) → Get off the stand. From our perspective, every exhibitor was there for leads, which we’re able to help with, so we went and spoke to them. That’s really where the offer came into it’s own, exhibitors don’t like being sold to. Unless they really want what you have to offer 👀 Interested in what we offered? Drop a comment and I’ll let you know. 🚀 It generated 15-20 great opportunities over the 2 days and probably 40-60 ‘leads’. We spoke to all of them and they all have intent ✅
