Companies really think they can solve the Marketing-Sales divide with: "Team building exercises!" (Because nothing builds trust like falling backwards into Chad from Sales) "Shared workspaces!" (Marketing's cold brew next to Sales' energy drinks. What could go wrong?) "Mandatory bonding activities!" (Nothing says collaboration like forced fun at 9am) "Cross-department spirit week!" (Matching t-shirts fix everything, right?) But here's what actually works: • Shared revenue metrics that matter to both teams • Customer journey mapping that everyone understands • Content that helps close actual deals • Compensation tied to mutual success Turns out when both teams' success depends on the same outcomes, they figure out how to work together. No trust falls needed. Though someone should probably tell HR to cancel that upcoming retreat... #MarketingStrategy #SalesEnablement #BusinessGrowth

We had our very first summit 🏔 here at #Belfrysoftware this week, where we had the privilege of coming together as a full team at our office in NYC for the first time to: *Work together in person *Share valuable experiences, information, and strategy from every team *Learn how we can support one another, and in turn how we can overcome any obstacle together *Hear from our clients, advisors, and investors about the impacts we have made and can make for growing SMB and Mid-Market #securityguardservices businesses. *Get to know one another as real people - which is always my favorite part, that's the zest. My colleagues are pretty amazing people -which is a great feeling. *Random swing dancing🕺at 10pm on a leap of faith with the one and only Jonathan Ng (definitely doing that again and soon, also need a new pair of kicks now) - and found a new challenge to learn. I'll share my key takeaways in not-so-distant future posts - but the main one I want to share today is commitment. I learned how committed every team member is to providing our clients something exceptional, above what they're used to, and how that filters into everything we do together. That inspired me the most for our future as a business and as a group of people working together. Happy Friday Folks! More to come... 🤸♂️ #guardservices #securityandinvestigations #officers

#WorkplaceDrama #EmployeeIssues #PartnershipStruggles #TeamDynamics Hey everyone! 🌟 I could really use some advice on a situation that's been stressing me out lately. So, here's the scoop: I co-own a business with two partners. I focus on bringing in and managing customers, while one partner deals with existing clients and the only employee we have (let's call her "Employee X"). The other partner is a bit more hands-off. A while back, Employee X invited me for a little getaway, and after checking in with my partners, I went for it. They gave me their blessing, saying they wouldn't make a fuss if things went south. Fast forward: She ghosted me after our initial chats. Now, things have drastically changed. She avoids me, barely responds to questions, and is frequently late or forgetful about her work. It’s a mess! The real kicker? My partners talked to her about her behavior, but she hasn’t changed one bit. Even my friendly “hello” doesn’t seem to get recognized. I f... Jamie Dimon’s 3.5-day workweek comment got me thinking: while leaders like him champion efficiency, how does that translate to customer relationships? You can't automate human conversations or build trust in half a week. Whether in the boardroom or at the mall, connections are 24/7. It's no more B2B & B2C , it's H2H (#HumantoHuman) and it doesn’t clock out early. But, here’s the thing—while we're focusing on shorter workweeks for maximum output, how much are we dialing back on something just as important as our target audience. In a world of efficient workflows and digital shortcuts, are we forgetting the value of engaging the right people at the right time? Sure, workweeks might get shorter, but the focus on understanding and connecting with our audience must get sharper. Efficiency isn’t just about working less—it’s about working smarter, with empathy, and building deeper connections that last beyond a 3.5-day sprint. Maybe. #WednesdayWisdom #HumanToHuman #EmpathyInBusiness #efficiency

Team Builder: Fueling Success Together! After a very successful Wednesday workday, our BDE team took a break from the usual routine of going home to answer all those evening emails and hit the go-kart track! With plenty of "friendly" competition and some great laughs, the experience went beyond just having fun. It reminded me how crucial team building is for a thriving work environment. By stepping away from our daily evening emails and spending time together outside of the office, we developed a real sense of comradery and team bond that we brought back to the office the next day. My takeaway from the team builder. Driving circles around Garth on the track and in the office - or maybe it was the fact that manager Tom somehow managed to beat me! It goes to show, whether it's on the track or in the office, we all bring something different to the table. At the end of the day, whether we're racing for the win in or out of the office, we always do it together. Do you think team building is important? #sales #management #future #innovation

Pretty interesting data that we're collecting at Marco Experiences as part of tomorrow's Turning Companies into Communities webinar with Darcy Marie Mayfield and Kristopher Martinez. You can RSVP to the event here, the session is at 2 pm EST: https://lnkd.in/gZBEQ6hS We're curious about the cadence and group types for company gatherings. A couple of interesting trends: - 70%+ of respondents are gathering in some format - Full company offsites happen less frequently, mostly annually - Much more common (bi-annually or quarterly) are functional-level offsites, smaller team gatherings, or exec-level offsites Over the next 6 months, we have a ton of product features we're building at Marco Experiences to enable these smaller groups to gather better, faster, and cheaper. #offsites #employeexpreience #futureofwork #distributedwork #remotework
