The renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) plays a vital role in regulating #bloodpressure and fluid balance. When activated, it narrows blood vessels and increases fluid retention, helping the body maintain stable blood pressure. While #exercise initially activates RAAS to ensure efficient blood flow, regular physical activity can lower its baseline activity. This helps reduce resting blood pressure and improve vascular health. Genetic makeup, including variations in the ACE and AGT genes, can influence how the body responds to RAAS activation and exercise. Individuals with certain genetic profiles may experience different blood pressure benefits from exercise. For those with genetic predispositions to hypertension, such as variations in #hypertension genes, exercise serves as a powerful tool to counteract these risks.
