This review suggests that the #ketogenic diet could have positive effects on disorders such as #bipolar disorder and #schizophrenia. Clinical studies indicate significant improvements in the symptoms of patients with these disorders, including #mood stabilization and #anxiety reduction. The ketogenic diet operates through multiple mechanisms, including enhancements in mitochondrial function, neurotransmitter balance, and inflammation reduction.
