Today, we dedicated significant time to discussing and planning the upcoming SMAUG_EU use cases. ℹ SMAUG will demonstrate and validate multiple solutions developed during the project, ensuring close collaboration between end users—such as security agencies and port authorities—and the technical partners throughout the project lifecycle. Fantastic news for Seascape Energy Asia plc, with farm-out deal announced for Block 2A in Malaysia, with INPEX acquiring a 42.5% stake. - Seascape will maintain a 10% interest, fully carried by INPEX through the exploration phase. - Seascape will receive US$10 million in cash + reimbursement of about US$ 0.5 million of historical costs. - In addition, Seascape will receive a further US$10 million contingent on a commercial discovery. Completion is expected by the end of Q1 2025, with the rights holdings then being INPEX (42.5% + operator), PETRONAS (40.0%), PETROS (7.5%), and Seascape (10.0%). The remaining 10% stake will allow Seascape to maintain plenty of upside in the Kertang prospect. The capital will support work towards development of the DEWA cluster and will allow them to pursue other acquisition targets in SE Asia. For INPEX, this gives them a material position in a large prospect offshore Sarawak, continuing their commitment to gas-to-LNG assets and exploration in Sarawak. INPEX have legacy production from an indirect interest in the SK-10 asset as well as exploration interests picked up in MBR 2022 (SK-418 and SK-4E) and MBR 2023 (SK-510).

One of my papers will be presented in this workshop. The paper is related to the work done by me and my team on history matching a mature field with ~ 100 strings using Assisted History Matching (AHM) approach. Though AHM approach seems to be "easy", the maturity of the field, uncertainties in data, modelling uncertainties makes it difficult to implement it meaningfully. Do attend this workshop, if possible ..... It should interesting! PS: This paper will be presented in Session 1 or 2 on the second day.
