Considering an MRes in the UK? You Can Work While You Study! If you’re thinking about pursuing a Master of Research (MRes) in the UK, here’s some great news: MRes students are allowed to work 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during holidays. This flexibility offers you the chance to gain valuable work experience, support your studies financially, and balance both academic and career goals. However, the MRes program is highly research-focused and often involves working independently, with regular meetings and guidance from your supervisor. Self-discipline and strong time management are essential, as you’ll be balancing your studies with work commitments. The MRes experience teaches you skills that go beyond academics, including: - Independent research and critical thinking - Effective time management for balancing study and work - Self-motivation and accountability If you’re ready to take on a program that blends work and study, while building essential skills for your career, the MRes could be your perfect fit! DM us or email info@ukbrighteducation.com to learn more about applying, eligibility, and making the most of your MRes experience in the UK. #MResUK #MastersOfResearch #StudyInTheUK #UKStudyVisa #InternationalStudents #WorkAndStudy #TimeManagement #SelfDiscipline #PostgraduateStudies #ResearchProgram #UKBrightEducation #HigherEducation #AcademicLife #GlobalOpportunities #UKUniversityAdmissions

It May Be Time for an Updated SWOT Analysis! A Tip From NTU-UoN Alumni Event Once again, in another NTU Employability event to support our international students' employability in the UK, I worked in collaboration with Teresa Corcoran of the University of Nottingham, and my @NTU Alumni Relations' colleagues: Liz Payce and Lorna Baisley, and alumni from our institutions. A major touch point for me was the advice given by one of our Alumni about the need for international students to update their SWOT Analysis. This reminded me of an encounter with a student I encouraged to create a career roadmap by starting with a SWOT Analysis! The outcome, months down the line, was awesome. Check out what their SWOT analysis revealed below. 💡 The takeaway is to regularly evaluate your strengths, leverage opportunities, address weaknesses, mitigate threats, and ensure there are plans a, b,.... Career readiness is an ongoing process—stay proactive! 🚀 #CareerReadiness #ProfessionalGrowth #SWOTAnalysis #LinkedInTips #internationalstudents

For all students receiving their #Alevel results this week - please remember the university you go to does not define you! In fact fewer champions of industry went to Russell Group of Universities than didn’t (if anyone would like to argue the contrary we would be happy to collect the data) & a number of the most successful business leaders did not go to or finish #university at all! Tips & tricks for those receiving results this week: - Prepare for the worse - look at the UCAS #clearing website for your 1 & 2nd choice #universities. Do they have other courses similar to the one which you have applied to in clearing, what are the grades. - Take down numbers for your 1 & 2nd choice to call if you miss by a little & be flexible to change course if needed. Also worth finding out who the admissions tutor is & their email address to reinforce your appeal - Have a “Plan B” of a university with your chosen course available through clearing & note down their number too! When you get your results if you make the grades great, if not hit the phone! Just remember, universities need students just as much as students want universities! Asia Careers Group SDN BHD data shows definitively that you can work for a leading employer without going to a high ranked institution. We will say it again your university does not define your #future #career trajectory! As it is increasingly important to understand both domestic & international student’s #employability, #career paths & trajectories particularly in major international student source markets - #china #india #ASEAN etc. Particularly when one considers the various travel advisories issues by #India #Malaysia #UAE #Indonesia etc. with reference to the UK after the recent unrest in many university cities. Hit “Subscribe to Newsletter” at the top of this post to receive the first issue, comparing the employability of #Australian & #UK #graduates on their return home.
