Innocent persons used as interests pawns, having paid with their lives, it is a clear crime against humanity. Terrorist attacks is one of the lowest level of human nature, it seems really a beastly, cowardly level. WOMEN IN PINK group challenges the Senators sending weapons to Israel. Last week, the Senate voted—for the first time—whether to halt arms transfers to Israel. While the majority of Americans supported this, their elected reps did not ! On November 20, 2024, the U.S. Senate voted on three resolutions introduced by Senator Bernie Sanders aimed at blocking specific arms sales to Israel. All three resolutions were decisively rejected: • Tank rounds: Rejected with a vote of 18 in favor and 79 against. • High-explosive mortar rounds: Rejected with 19 in favor and 78 against. • Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) kits: Rejected with 17 in favor and 80 against. The strong bipartisan support for military assistance to Israel in the U.S. Senate stems from several factors, including: 1. Political and Strategic Alliance • Defense Industrial complex: Many U.S. weapons manufacturers benefit from arms sales to Israel, creating economic incentives to continue the war. 2. Influence of Lobbying Groups • AIPAC (Zionist) American Israel Public Affairs Committee: As one of the most influential pro-Israel lobby, AIPAC works to secure bipartisan support for Israel through campaign donations, advocacy, and outreach. • PAC Contributions: Many lawmakers receive significant campaign funding from PACs (Political Action Committees) aligned with AIPAC or other pro-Israel groups. A While they say this doesn’t equate to bribery, it often aligns political priorities with donor expectations. 3. Domestic Political Calculations • American Politicians are forced to avoid opposing aid to Israel due to fears of being labeled as anti-Israel or antisemitic, which can hurt their political careers. • Voter Demographics: Lawmakers may prioritize policies that align with influential voter blocs backed by Jewish/Zionist billionaires or constituencies who support Israel (Remember how these billionaires/donors recently forced Pro-Palestine Presidents of major Universities to resign post to campus protests)!! 4. Misinformation and Narrative Framing • Many politicians justify aid to Israel as supporting “self-defense,” despite growing public criticism and evidence of human rights violations in Gaza. This narrative is often reinforced by mainstream media and AIPAC’s lobbying activities. 5. Bipartisan Tradition • Support for Israel has been a consistent bipartisan position for decades-funded by U.S. Aid billions going to Israel and part of it coming back in the millions to fund these Senators’ election campaigns. Breaking from this tradition requires significant political risk. While organizations like AIPAC undoubtedly influence U.S. policy, labeling this as outright “bribery” oversimplifies the issue they say, it is rooted in political, economic, and strategic interests, amplified by decades old lobbying alliances. https://lnkd.in/eiu6RD42

Gosh @sam rose & UNRWA , why haven't you asked Egypt to allow innocent Gazan civilians to be allowed to temporarily cross the Egyptian border? If there were no innocent Gazan civilians in Rafah, there could be no innocent Gazan civilian casualties. International Humanitarian Law requires countries to allow innocent civilians to flee a combat area across the nearest non-combatant border. So why haven't you asked Egypt to allow innocent Gazan civilians to temporarily cross the Egyptian border? We know that the terrorists and oligarchs are allowed to cross the Egyptian border whenever they want, either through the tunnels, or with bribes. Why are the vulnerable required to stay in Gaza?

This video shows some of the political calculations that are going on in the Democratic Party for the Presidential Elections in November. Because of defeats of Western allies in several parts of the world, it might be easier for Trump to get elected. And, by continuing to give unqualified support to Israel, the Democrats are offending a significant portion of their own base.
