The research group from Nanjing University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology explored how different layer thicknesses affect the desiccation cracking behaviour of vegetated soil. The 21st and 22nd of November, 2023 more than 30 researchers from 16 countries met at the Agroscope Changins for a two days scietific seminar "Changins around the central question : Is our agriculture ready for a transformation and an agro-ecological transition?" organised in the context of our CA21134 WG2's activities. The theoretical and governance aspects of agro-ecological transition were addressed by various experts and gave rise to lively discussions, generating new ideas for breaking down the barriers preventing the adoption of new agro-ecological practices. This transdisciplinary network of European experts will continue to meet with various supply chain players to lay the basis for a radical change in our agro-ecological and food system.
