#Musculoskeletal disorders are one of the biggest contributors to morbidity and place an enormous burden on the #healthcare system in an #aging population. Owing to their immunomodulatory and regenerative properties, mesenchymal stromal/#stemcells (#MSCs) have demonstrated therapeutic efficacy for treatment of a wide variety of conditions, including #musculoskeletal disorders. We have interviewed dozens of people who have healed from... severe heart disease advanced cancer multiple sclerosis schizophrenia depression inflammatory bowel disease and much more. None of their case studies were investigated and published in medical journals. This means our prognoses are just plain wrong, because we don't account for cases of healing. The reason given for this in #healthcare is we don't want to give false #hope. But we don't seem to mind giving false fear. It's crucial for kids diagnosed with #CerebralPalsy to receive a #GeneticTest because there might be an underlying condition like #CTNNB1 syndrome, which can often simply be labeled as CP. One important aspect to check for is #FEVR (Familial Exudative Vitreoretinopathy), a rare genetic eye disorder found in some CTNNB1 kids. FEVR affects the growth of blood vessels in the retina, which leads to vision problems or even total blindness if not detected early. The only way to diagnose FEVR is through a #FluoresceinAngiogram, and without testing, this serious condition would go unnoticed if your child remains under the umbrella diagnosis of CP. Getting the right diagnosis opens doors for proper monitoring, treatment, and care that can dramatically improve quality of life for the entire family.
