It's estimated that more than $202 trillion of investment will be required to develop the solutions to achieve net zero emissions and reverse the damage that humanity has already inflicted on nature. That means advising companies on what to do about their climate and environmental impact is now big business. Pollination is an advisory and investment firm with its fingers in both planetary pies — it advises companies on how to achieve net zero and become nature positive, and picks a handful of startups that are developing the best solutions to invest in. The firm was established four years ago by Martijn Wilder AM and Tony O'Sullivan. Pollination's global head of investments Diana Callebaut told our reporter Kate Burgess that the group invests on behalf of a range of investors, who have vastly different risk and return profiles. "This ranges from corporates who are particularly interested in CAM's (Climate Asset Management, a partnership with HSBC) nature-based carbon fund to high net worth and family offices who are attracted to our early stage and venture climate and nature investment.
