Changes come whether the timing is right or not. I help connections navigate these changes effectively. One of my favorite aspects of my role is improving others' professional situations. Check out my website and the comic strip, Dogged Decisions, where Tim always has a trusted advisor by his side: (https://lnkd.in/e-s6_dut). Chuck Durakis. Connections always matter. #doggeddecisions #change #newopportunity #advisors #connections

Did you know that I have been using the Professional Square Concept as a De-escalation theme during my 3 decades of law enforcement? It served me well. Here is how it works: I focus on the concept of "staying in your professional square," a vital skill for navigating workplace challenges, especially when faced with disrespectful behaviors. This principle emphasizes the importance of maintaining your composure and professionalism, regardless of external provocations. When we encounter disrespect—whether through rude comments, undermining actions, or inappropriate behavior—it's easy to react emotionally. However, by choosing to stay within our professional square, we can effectively protect our reputations and foster a more respectful work environment. This approach involves setting clear boundaries, responding thoughtfully rather than reactively, and prioritizing constructive dialogue over conflict escalation. By maintaining professionalism, we not only safeguard our own integrity but also contribute to a culture of respect and collaboration. This strategy can lead to more productive interactions and long-term positive outcomes for our careers, helping us build a solid reputation as reliable and composed professionals. Ultimately, the ability to remain centered in our professional square empowers us to navigate challenges with grace, positioning us for future opportunities and success. #stayinyourprofessionalsquare #crisisdeescalation #impact #morethancheckingabox #curtisboydandassociatesllc Insight Strategies, Inc.

Never discount what you can learn from the people who are an arm's reach (or a keyboard strike) away from you. One of the breakout sessions I did last week for the California Staffing and Recruiting Professionals Association's annual conference was bringing in the voice of industry leaders to talk about common #recruiter pitfalls. Honestly, their insights were so valuable that they apply to every role. Here are the threads that they touched on, ➡ Accountability ➡ Trust and empathy ➡ Resourcefulness ➡ Balanced focus ➡ Building and nurturing relationships Thank you Jay Ramos, Lauren B. Jones 🐐, Tammi Taylor Heaton, ARM, CSP, Liliana Bernal, and Lesly Cardec for your contributions. The conversations that took place based on your sharing were deep, purposeful, and actionable 💥 ! #staffingandrecruiting #staffingindustry #learningfromleaders #learningandgrowth #lessonsfromothers

Ever had your mind blown by a magician? Last night at the C4BX Summer Networking event at Town bar + kitchen bar + kitchen in Morristown, I experienced just that. Picture this: jumbo shrimp, cool people and Mike Patrick, a strolling magician bending my quarter in half right in front of my eyes—guess I'm out 25 cents! 😯 But seriously, how did he do it? 🪄 But here's the real magic—While Mike was bending quarters, I was busy being a fortune teller, reading everyone's Culture Index profiles back to them. I firmly believe in the magic of people. When you hire right, retain talent, and empower your team, you create an environment where everyone can shine. The Culture Index is our wand, revealing the hidden talents and strengths within your team. So, what’s the secret to a high-performing team? It’s not just about the skills on paper. It’s about understanding the person behind the resume. It’s about creating a culture where everyone feels valued and motivated to give their best. Curious? Take the survey for yourself. It'll take you less than 10 minutes: https://lnkd.in/djmedXFy #TeamSuccess #CultureIndex #EmpowerYourTeam #TeamSparkAdvisors
