To stay relevant, especially in today’s tough media market, it’s crucial for a local broadcaster to align with the needs and wants of its audience. Recognizing this from the get-go, The New Classical FM launched the Anti-Noise Pollution League (ANPL), an online community of classical-music-loving conversationalists and hearing-health advocates who desire quieter, more enjoyable dining out experiences. They are not alone. In a recent survey of nearly 1,500 members of the Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP), 87% of respondents who dine out 1-4 times a month indicated that a quiet atmosphere is very important to them. Moreover, 85% stated that they would dine out more frequently if they were assured of a quiet dining environment.
